We got married at Crover on the 14.6.14 and we had d most amazing day. Food was unreal and staff were excellent . Eamonn adds a real touch of class to the hotel. Improvements are clear to b seen. Any1 thinking of getting married I would highly recommend this hotel. Very easy to deal with and nothing is too much trouble.

Myself and six relations had an evening meal in the bar of this lovely hotel last Saturday evening in beautiful surroundings overlooking the golf course and Lough Sheelin. From the moment we arrived it was great from the welcome we received from lovely hostess on arrival to the waitress that served us to the food we all tried different starters, main course and desserts and it was all lovely and very nicely presented. There was a nice atmosphere throughout, there was a wedding there plus the fine dining room was booked fully and was highly praised by those who had that. This hotel is to be recommended .

Sampled the "fine dining" experience at Crover House Hotel on Saturday night and what an amazing experience. Food, service and ambience second to none. Would highly recommend it as you won't be disappointed.

First class hotel with very friendly professional staff who were always there to help. The location of the hotel with spectacular views all around are perfect for any occasion. The food was second to none from dinner to breakfast to daytime snacks very reasonable prices for such quality food. The rooms were very spacious, clean very comfortable. The staff all round from front of house to bar staff to housekeeping and management carried out their job to the highest standard with a friendly smile on their face from early morning right through to the next morning! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a break away. If it's a relaxing weekend a golfing trip or a night of good food and crack you won't be disappointed.

Hotel: The bar area, reception and corridors are very nice and have recently been painted.

Location: Located in very quiet secluded area in Mountnugent overlooking Lough Sheelin. Great for a relaxing break. Beautiful grounds and a nice walk by the lake.

Bedroom: Very clean and comfortable room with a view of the lake. Although the room was in need of some modernisation.

Food: Breakfast was fantastic, great selection and cooked fresh. We had dinner in the bar and again the food was fabulous with a great selection to choose from. Dessert menu was the best I have seen in a long time. Very popular hotel for dining, was quiet busy for a Thursday night.

Staff: All staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and efficient. The only criticism I would have would be the lady we met on the Thursday evening at check in. Even though breakfast was included in our package she tried to convince us it wasn’t. It was very embarrassing, eventually the other gentleman on reception confirmed it was in fact included after checking the booking. Also the next day at check out we were asked to pay for hotel again! Clearly the lady the day before hadn’t updated the system. Lucky I had a receipt to prove it.

I would recommend this hotel for both its value and location.

We booked this as a last-minute mid-week escape, and were delighted from the moment we arrived.
The staff are incredibly friendly - Laura on reception and Sean in the main restaurant deserve special mention, but everyone was superb.
We had our dog with us, and he was welcome to stay in our room, and loved to run round the lawns in front of the hotel.
The location, overlooking Lough Sheelin, is superb, and we were lucky to arrive on a day when the temperature was in the 20s and the sun was shining.
Food in the bar was great, and the meal on the second night in the main restaurant was excellent.
We'll definitely be back.
