“WE FOUND A GEM!”
Reviewed 29 March 2012

Stayed for 3 weeks in a Grand Villa, and liked it so much returned after a month for another 3 weeks! We are an older couple who have travelled extensively on all 5 continents and who now want to spend quiet and peaceful times, being pampered together in beautiful surroundings and well designed accommodation.

Villas: 29 x 1 bedroom and 1 x 2 bedroom Grand duplex pool villas set on a steep hillside, also 14 x deluxe and 1 x 4 bedroom pool villas at the bottom of the hill. Very good quality of furniture and all accessories expected are supplied. Separate single mattresses on “Hollywood “ bed provided free on request. Privacy was 90% and was more than adequate as we do not like to be totally isolated.

Site: Access to restaurant is by several steps, but access to reception is by an extremely quick buggy service if you don't want to walk.

Spa: Superb. If you have a bad back they will avoid the sensitive area!

Food: Prices are very reasonable, especially considering there is no alternative unless you get a taxi to town for 800 baht return. Two people can have any Thai dish each for that price (even in-room). Quality and service is excellent. Breakfast is one of the best we have had.

Location: In the middle of Phuket island, so quite remote (on the outskirts of a village). Free shuttles provided for a shopping centre and beach. Easy to get taxis through reception.

Staff: Absolutely marvellous, we cannot fault them. All management and their staff were extremely responsive, attentive and did their best to give us a happy stay. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble! Understanding of English was generally good. Pool kept very clean without us being aware of chemicals, villa cleaned/serviced meticulously every day plus full turndown service! In-room dining is excellent and on-time as ordered.

Other Reviews
As with all resorts, you can be disappointed if you assume facilities are available that are not claimed and it is clear that some other reviewers who had complaints did not do their homework before staying. The Zolitude does not claim to have, and does not have, a central or beach location nor facilities for children. However, it provides all of the facilities that it claims to offer to an impressive 5 star standard.

Room Tip: The Grand Villas are worth the extra.

From the moment I contacted Villa Zolitude for our wedding, I knew we had made the right choice. The fantastic level of service and professionalism continued throughout all the planning via email through to the execution of the most amazing wedding we could have asked for. We had a beautiful traditional Thai ceremony which we will treasure forever. All the staff worked so hard to make the day special with many actually part of the wedding in the 'long drum parade'. I feel like we were treated like celebrities!! We were made to feel special from the moment we arrived until the sad moment when we had to leave. As we chose to travel alone for our wedding, it was lovely for everyone to get involved and make it such a special day for us. The wedding package was amazingly generous with photography, spa treatments, three course meal, wine, flowers...the list was endless and we never once got charged extra for anything! Words cannot express what a fabulous wedding we had and the four night stay was sadly not long enough, we could have happily stayed for weeks.
The Grand Pool Villa was as great as all the other reviews have stated, so romantic with a bathtub in the bedroom. The service was amazing, rooms absolutely spotlessly clean. ALL staff are so lovely and friendly from Anuchit (manager) through to all the many people keeping the grounds looking amazing. Always somebody doing something to keep the place looking good. Reception staff always smiling, restaurant staff always welcoming and attentive.
We feel we have to mention Siripen who organised everything across the miles from Scotland to Thailand via email and made us so welcome when we arrived, and also gave us a beautiful framed wedding photograph to take home, thank you so much we will treasure it always!
We also feel we have to convey how particularly brilliant the manager, Anuchit, is. He worked so hard on the wedding day to make sure everything was perfect for us, and every day until we left he spoke with us to make sure we were happy. We really felt like we got to know everyone, they treated us like good friends. Our only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay, and wish we didn't live so far away but we will be back to Villa Zolitude, hopefully for a wedding anniversary soon.

We have just returned from our second visit to Villa Zolitude. We have been to Phuket numerous times, but this is the first time we have returned to the same hotel, and have to say that it lived up to our expectations and more.
From the moment you arrive you immediately relax and feel completely at home. The villas are gorgeous and very spacious, the ground are beautiful, and very well kept.
The restaurant is a lovely relaxing place with a very good chef serving a large delicious menu at reasonable prices.
The Zolitude is set in the hills of Chalong with wonderful views from the Grand Pool Villas. It is away from the hustle&bustle which is what makes it so charming. They provide a free mini bus twice a day to the beach, where you can get two loungers and brolly for 200 bht for as long as you like. There is also a mini bus to the Central shopping mall, and a reasonably priced taxi service for any other trips you want to make.
But what makes the Villa Zolitude so special are its staff, the gorgeous girls at reception who never stop smiling, the waiting staff who cannot do enough for you , the cleaners, drivers, gardeners who are always smiling and will assist you in any way they can.
We have stayed in many hotels throughout Thailand over the years, but have never been so impressed with such wonderful staff.
Thank you Bus, Siripen and all the staff for a wonderful holiday, see you next year.

Room Tip: We have stayed in both delux and grand pool, the delux are lovely spacious private villas but grand...

We planned our honeymoon on a pretty tight budget--with the exception of the three nights we splurged and stayed at Villa Z. And we're so glad we did!

The Grand pool villa is an awesome two-story detached building with it's own private pool, downstairs lounge room for watching movies, indoor and outdoor showers, indoor tub for two, and a private deck to lay out in the sun. We did the honeymoon package, which included a generous breakfast delivered each morning. Included 3-hour couples massage was a nice touch.

Service was great, room was made up multiple times throughout the day.

The resort is best for those who want to spend time with each other, and don't have a laundry list of things to do and see. The resort is located in the hillside, away from most restaurants and attractions. The resort is semi-jungle--cicada's can be very loud in the morning, and might wake you up. We found it pleasant, but it could be frightening if unexpected. The hotel provides transfer to a wonderful little beach that has a European feel, spend at least a day there.

Villa Z was expensive compared to other places we stayed in, but the Grand Pool Villa would literally be thousands per night in Australia.

Room Tip: Splurge for the Grand Pool Villa. Villas highest up have the most privacy.

From the moment we were greeted at the airport, which was after midnight, we were delighted. The villa was awesome! The higher up you are the better the view and you have more privacy. The staff at the resort were extremely accommodating, making sure our needs were met. The resort is about 15 minutes from Kata Beach and about 30 minutes to Patong. Please check the distances for yourself as I am not good with time or distance. We rented scooters and had a blast riding around to the different beaches and sights. This was one of the best places we have stayed and will stay there again. Great vacation! I have only good things to say about Villa Zolitude, don't forget to visit the spa they give an excellent massage and the couples package was well worth it.

Having come from our favourite Phuket hotel this place had a lot to live up to...

Check in was slow and we were taken to a room on the site next door!!! What was that all about?! The room was dark, hot, musty, dirty and looked like it hadn't been used for weeks. Directly outside they were building a new villa, 20 minutes of non stop drilling and I'd had enough. After complaining to reception they moved us to the main site and a room that looks like the pictures on the website. Things seemed a bit better, the rooms are nice.

The main pool and the rest of the hotel are lifeless. We waited round the pool for another 20 minutes and no one came to serve us. Tried the restaurant for lunch and food was average but then it got a lot worse when my wife bite a stone, yes a stone, in her vegetable noodles. It cracked her tooth and the manager didn't seem interested.

On going back to our room there was one of the loudest noises I've ever heard and it was non stop! I thought it was a fire alarm! It eventually stopped at 9pm but then started again at 5am! It runs out they have some sort of insect in the trees which make the noise. We had all the doors and windows shut and still could hear each other!

We couldn't take anymore so had to check out after 1 night.

Staff were short and rude, customer service didn't really exist and I'm still waiting for a refund after I prepaid for the room.

There was nothing relaxing about this place, staff don't get it, food is poor and the general atmosphere is dead.

Such a shame

Room Tip: Don't bother
