Based on the glowing reviews of Villa Zolitude, I was anticipating a 5 star quality resort, which this sadly was not. It was certainly nice, the staff was friendly and helpful although many spoke limited English (a major drawback and disappointment with the cab driver we hired for a 5 hour tour of Phuket which was the low-light of our 10 day stay in Thailand) and the guest villa spacious. But there were certain touches lacking; for instance, the main pool - which we chose to remain by due to the more direct sunlight than our villa offered - has very limited seating and there is no complimentary cold water one typically finds at such resort pool areas. In fact, there was no pool side service at all. I had to go to the restaurant to inquire about having some snack platters and drinks, which, while the waitstaff did say they would bring to us, we waited about a half hour to get. Afterward, the plates and glasses remained out in the sun, attracting an army of ants within an hour or so, prompting me to bring our dishes back to the dining area myself. No big deal, just not the quality of service I've encountered at other establishments in this price range.
The hotel is situated quite far from the more popular beaches of Phuket, which can be either an advantage - if looking to steer clear of the crowds, or disadvantage - if looking to partake in some of that entertainment/recreation. Because the time of the shuttles to the nearest beach were so limited we unfortunately never took advantage of going so I cannot comment on that feature - we were just tired of it taking so long and costing so much to get anywhere that in spite of the relatively poor weather during our stay we chose to simply spend time at the hotel to relax and took in a spa treatment.
While we gave the spa high marks while there, the best we can say about it was that it was adequate. Surprisingly, it is located right next to the roadway, so there was a significant amount of noisy distractions from the various transportation vehicles going back and forth. The therapists were capable.
There is only one restaurant but we found the food selections to be flavorful and reasonably priced. Waitstaff was accommodating and friendly.
The villa was large but rather plainly appointed. It did not necessarily look new to me, however, it was clean - aside from a very musty odor by the kitchen area - but it may be unfair to compare it to the villa we had in Tahiti, which is what I had envisioned it to be more along the lines of, albeit in a "jungle" rather than beach setting. It certainly was quiet and private as we were not located on the highest spots - which initially I had thought would be a draw back (it seemed when we had our tut tut ride to our room we were actually going off the hotel property) but it did provide for privacy.
We arrived on a very rainy afternoon, during rush hour due to a delayed flight, so it took nearly two hours to get the hotel.
To be fair, the overcast skies during much of our stay undoubtedly detracted from our experience so I do have to acknowledge that factor in my overall impression of Phuket, which was not the scenic island I had imagined it to be. In all honesty, I do not have a desire to return to this part of Thailand. If I did, I believe we would prefer one of the less touristy beach resorts in the area. However, "if Phuket is in your travel plans" and you'd like to balance out the more robust beach scene with the more tranquil island calm, Villa Zolitude may offer this alternative.

Stay 4 nights at this fantastic hotel, the rooms is big n clean. There is 2 LCD TV in the room, large bathroom with clean Jacuzzi. There is a library with some selection of DVD for u to chose from. Buffet Breakfast is quite limited, the down side will be the small pool in my room and the location is actually quite bad. Lucky i have ask the hotel to help me a rent a motor during the 5 days. Most staff is helpful and friendly except for 1 or 2 that is no very helpful. Overall I really enjoy it!

My husband andIi stayed for 3 nights and were just blown away by the absolutely wonderful surroundings, friendly and very professional staff and fantastic food. We just loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to visit again. I booked this as a surprise for my husband and he just could not believe the 5 star luxurious grand pool villa was all ours!!

Wow!!
What a great place. These people have thought of everything and the staff are just excellent from room cleaning to management. They should be proud of themselves as their staff are a credit to them and hospitality in general. The girls on reception, the tuk tuk drivers, the restaurant staff all received us with smiles and top notch service throughout our stay.

The delux pool villa (no 123) was just stunning and huge with every amenitiy possible and the best bathroom I`ve ever had the pleasure to bathe in. The double granite trough style sink is inpired and beautiful.

I was worried about being eaten alive due to the location in such lush surroundings but I needn`t have worried as the lovely lady on reception sent some plug in Mossie machines to the room and they also supply complimentary mossie repellant and an oil burner to keep the little blighters at bay. With all of that added protection I didn`t get one bite.

Food and drinks in the restaurant are top notch and not expensive for the quality of hotel.

This is definately the place for those who want quiet cilled out relaxation in luxurious surroundings.

If I had to nit pick I would suggest another shuttle service to the beach between the 10am and 1pm one and a pick up a little later at about 5pm. That would give us beach lovers a little more flexibility and longer on the beach.

I got to stay here on a special promotional deal and would love to repeat the experience again in the future so I hope they keep doing these offers to allow me to indulge myself again in the years to come. My only regret is that I didn`t stay longer.

Well done Villa Zolitude, you deserve all the great reviews you get.

We spent 14 nights in a grand pool villa together with our daughter (6 years). It is a lovely place, excellent service, space to relax and close to any place on the island. You get a lot of privacy, a perfext and extremely service and staff. It is the right balance to relax, to hide away but to have connection to any attraction if you like to go anywhere.
The grand pool villa is perfect cause you have two different rooms - we sent our daughter to bed and could enjoy the evening.
Room for improvement: Permanent dining table outside, more space for clothes/wardrobe.
Special thanks to the manager - you make a perfect job and you know how to host guests!
And: All staff always had a smile - isnt that great?
Definitely a plce to return!

Just had a great stay over a couple of days @ Villa Zolitude at friend's recommendation. Fantastic weather + Great staff with very personalise service esp to "Mr. Boon Chai" (apologies if spelled wrongly) from Front Office sector, kudos! With his guide, indeed makes our trip much more smooth sailing than expected

Simple but decent breakfast spread~ Complimentary wifi which we did not used as meant to be a 100% rejuvenating trip~ Complimentary return shuttle service to nearby shopping mall and Beach~ Villa was great even though stay is inclusive of daily mini-bar. Do not allow your holiday mood to trade-in for the tiny little nitty stuffs*while using outdoor shower facility, watch out for the unexpected "nature neighbours" as spotted a baby snake* whoowhoo~ Wana try their SPA facility but operating hours is till 1800 hrs which by then we cant make it back in time

If time permits, we would have been much more glad than happy to stay much longer and once again, immerse ourselves back into this beautiful hideout!
