Just back from a wonderful night in Danny Minnies. Warm welcome, fabulous dinner, including candle on my husband's dessert plate. Delicious breakfast. Room very warm and comfortable. Extremely comfy beds. Can't recommend highly enough. This is such a unique place to stay and never disappoints. The staff are very warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for the. mWe stayed here many here years ago for the first time and have recommended it to any people over the years.
Close to some fabulous beaches. Can't wait to return.

We dined here upon the recommendation of family and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere inside was lovely with a turf fire blazing and comfortable sofas in the lounge area. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive.

The choice of food was great. I found it very hard to settle on what I wanted. I eventually chose the goats cheese starter and the steak, both of which were wonderful. The dining room also had a lovely ambience. Whilst it is an expensive enough dining experience it is well worth it and I would return again.

We happened on this place by sheer chance. Walking along the main street of Annagry on a Friday night in November we wondered why what looked like two conjoined private houses were surrounded by cars.
It was only the board on the pavement which revealed this was a restaurant. Checking it out online later we made a last minute booking for Saturday night.

Walking through the latched door from the garden is like passing into the tardis.
The hall has the feel of a Spanish manor house.
Space, style, charm, sumptuous antique furnishings and candlelit ambience - it’s impossible to do it all justice. This has wow factor with added wow. Our coats taken, we were ensconced in the roomy sofas and warmth of the bar area, feeling like honoured guests in a rather grand private home. Relaxing over drinks with the menu, some delicious little canapés arrived. With similarly relaxed couples and groups all around, the atmosphere was pleasantly lively. When our table was ready, we were shown through a beautiful candlelit dining room to an equally gorgeous upper level. This had a large open fireplace and blazing fire. Candelabra, firelight, gleaming mirrors and glowing brass worked together to create a soft and welcoming effect. We seemed to be surrounded by smiling servers, deftly bringing things and just as discretely clearing them away. We felt pampered and indulged on all sides. A basket of assorted breads, starters and main courses came and were cleared in easy succession. Desserts, coffee and mints all followed seamlessly. The food quality and presentation was simply off the scale. This was a faultless dining experience. When an array of fresh vegetables was set down our table looked set for a feast.
Dinner here comes at a set price of 40 euros whatever selection is ordered.
This includes dessert and tea coffee and mints.
For food and service of this quality this is a great deal.
The sense of being honoured guests lasted right till the end. The friendly maître d’ brought back our coats, wished us a pleasant stay in Annagry and expressed the hope they would see us again.
About that, there's absolutely no doubt!
This was the best food, and in the most impressive surroundings, we’ve had in a long time. The fact that it comes with the genuineness, warmth and welcome which is a Donegal speciality, just completes the appeal. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. This was more than a meal. It was a unique dining pleasure.

Just arrived home from a night in Danny Minnies, having not been there for 15 years. Still wonderful, fabulous dinner and more than fabulous breakfast. Quirky room and nice not to have a T.V. Staff were very friendly. Was a little noisy late on as there was a birthday party in full swing and they were unaware how noisy they were on leaving. Our room was at the front and the window was open as it was warm, so I think I will request a room at the back next time. This could have happened anywhere and did not detract from our stay. We will be back, soon hopefully!

We went here after hearing great things about it from friends and family. On arrival we were ignored by 2 staff behind the bar whilst they looked and giggled at something on Google. Eventually when they finished entertaining themselves we were seated in the bar where we have a glass of Champange. We were given the menus here and our orders were taken. We were then moved to our table in the restaurant and within 30 seconds of our bums hitting the seats our starters were delivered. I had scallops and my wife had crab. The scallops were over cooked and had little flavour, however the crab my wife had was delicious. Starters cleared and within 1 minute the mains were in front of us - this is a pet hate of mine. the restaurant was not busy there was no need to rush us.The mains were mediocre, but got a great selection of veg and potatoes. My main plate was dressed exactly the same as my starter - this is always a sign of no great skill in the kitchen.

The dessert was great, although delivered at the same lightening speed as the other 2 courses, it was a saving grace for them. Strawberry meringue - lovely!!

3 courses each with 2 bottles of wine was €183. Expensive for what it was - i thought.

Overall, we would not go back as for less money you have better quality food close by in the Skippers in Burtonport.
