Just back from a 2 night stay at the Viking House. Our stay had it all - wonderful location, very friendly staff and great home made food. It's a while since we have been offered a proper breakfast menu! Highly recommended - just don't say anything bad about King Daniel as he only lives up the road!

The staff from the time of arrival to departure were extremely helpful and pleasant. We had a voucher deal for two nights BB with afternoon tea. This was very good value. The hotel is clean, rooms are a good size. However the furniture is somewhat dated but was functional. The only negative about the room was the grout and silicone in the shower which was old and mouldy and in need of replacement. Being a small hotel the service was excellent, but the noise from the busy bar did travel to the bedrooms on the Saturday night but in fairness this ended by 11pm which isn't unreasonable. The views from the bedroom were stunning of the beach and the Atlantic sea. In summary very good service food was good and the valve for money using the deal was great. I would consider booking the deal again. The location in rural Donegal is also wonderful

I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend Easter Sunday-Tuesday. I had previously stayed there alone a year and a half ago and the staff (including the owner) remembered me and remembered what I did as a past-time, other than being a huge fan of Daniel O'Donnell. The staff and locals couldn't have been friendlier and the staff couldn't have done enough for their guests.

Before we got back to the North my boyfriend and I had decided we will be returning to this hotel. The views were fabulous as well and the entertainment was fantastic

Travelled here on a breakaway weekend to beautiful Donegal, just to get away for a couple of days, found the staff fantastic, making you feel at home the min you walk through the door.
The area and the views have to be witnessed to be believed.
Travelled with my wife, stayed in a lovely on-suite double room which was very clean and although the Hotel was full the room seemed to be noise/sound proof.
There was a nice choice of menu available from the restaurant, and lovely mix of locals and guests at the bar where everyone joined in in a sing song.
I highly recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed.

Room Tip: The view from a front room is fantastic over looking the bay.

Not our first visit to the Viking, but the hotel has kept it's friendly feeling as you would expect from a small hotel. My wife and I have visited this area and hotel many times and never get tired of the local views all around this area. The food in the Viking is of a high standard and plenty choice. Simple and clean rooms are ideal and good value for money. Thanks for looking after us Pauline, we will be back.

Room Tip: Front of hotel if you want to overlook the Atlantic and islands.

This was a wonderful hotel with as always very helpful and friendly people.
The room was clean and the shower was absolutely fantastic.
There is not much to do around the hotel but the nature is so
beautiful.
We were lucky to have one evening with a guitar player and a man with
a violin. They had only met that afternoon but played like they had done that for
years.

Room Tip: All rooms are almost the same so it doesn't really matter which room you get.
