myself and two friends booked a spa package through groupon. it was great from start to finish. I had a lovely girl called Jackie who pampered me and I just cant recommend it enough. neck back and shoulder massage, floatation tank, are just two of the treatments on offer(had 4 in total). we then went for a swim, sauna steam room etc and finished the day off with a 5 course carvery!!!!! delicious. we will be back for more.

Headed here for a getaway in July 2014. Lovely hotel located in a beautiful part of Ireland. Breakfast was nice. Ate in the restaurant on night 1. Service was a little rushed. 2nd night ate in bar. Food excellent both times. Fab bedrooms and staff. Visit the famine village while in the area.

My wife and I got married on the 25th of August. We stayed for 3 nights. We had such a fantastic experience throughout our stay. We were in the bridal suite for 2 of the nights. The suite had a Jacuzzi, double showers and large plasma screen on the wall. We had our ceremony in the hotel aswell everything was organised beautifully by the hotel from the chair settings to the food. The top table of the wedding were presented their food under a Cloche in a timely fashion which was great touch. The food was plentyful our guests said that the portions were fantastic and were asked if they would like seconds. The service was very attentive and speedy. The hotel staff done everything to make our day run smoothly. The views from the hotel were spectacular. The breakfast buffet had great selection from continental to english breakfast. All our wedding guest praised the hotel aswell. A special thanks to roisin the wedding co ordinator for making our day as special as it was. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. If you are thinking about having your wedding here we would highly recommend it.

Attended a wedding here and had a very good experience. The wedding meal was excellent and the staff were fantastic. The service was like clockwork and was very well managed throughout the meal. Plates and food were very hot and the meal was really plentiful and most enjoyable. Bar staff were great too and the hotel itself is set in a beautiful position. The hotel is clean and well decorated with comfortable seating available in all areas. The whole wedding party agreed that the meal and service was second to none and I'm sure quite a few will be revisiting!

Room Tip: Didn't actually stay in the hotel but those who did had no negative comments to make.

I attended at a wedding at the Ballyliffin lodge, the service at the meal was all inexperienced staff, the meal was slow to be served, not once was the table checked throughout the meal, even though it was a family table, The next morning after staying in the hotel, we slept in as it was a late night, when we eventually came to reception to check out at 12, we asked could we get our breakfast after Paying for it in out package of €159 for one night, the receptionist told us no, and that we could go buy our lunch in the bar which was a rather cheeky statement, we did eat lunch in the bar after being refused our breakfast which was paid for but did not revive, most of the family guest from the wedding missed breakfast at 10 as it was a late night, and they did not revive there breakfast, which is a disgrace as they also paid for it in there package, we then ordered lunch in the bar, but received the lunch of the table beside us, we then handed the lunch we where given by the waitress to the table beside us as it was the lunch they ordered! When we finally got the food we ordered it was rather tasteless food the chicken in the panni was horrible, it will be a long time before i enter the Ballyliffin lodge! The lack of inexperienced staff for a 4 star hotel is a joke !

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your review and I am sorry to read that your wedding experience with us was so poor. We pride ourselves in our Wedding Service and I am disappointed that you felt our teams were not to your expected standards. It is such an important day for the bride and groom and their families and your comments have been passed on to our wedding team to review. Regarding breakfast there are indeed finishing times for breakfast and unfortunately like the majority of hotels we do not offer breakfast service until 12 noon in our accommodation packages. We do however appreciate that on the morning after a wedding our 10am finish for breakfast may be early and we do accommodate where possible availability of breakfast until 10.30am. We do hope that you will visit the hotel on another occasion in the future. Many thanks for taking the time to write your review as we welcome all feedback. Best wishes

We have stayed several times in the past year and always been allocated a wonderful room - even the bridal suite on one occasion although we have been married for 28 years!! I would recommend a beauty treatment in the spa for relaxation before a cocktail in the bar prior to dinner...My husband and I are always looked after and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
There is also a fab little bar called the Rusty Nail just a few miles away near the Waterfall...worth a visit...and the magnificent beach is fab for a walk or run if you are feeling more energetic!!

Room Tip: Front and corner rooms have sea-views.
