I have not much to add to the other reviews.
Just a great find.
Wish there were more places like this!
The beach is really beautiful and almost deserted,we even spotted some dolphins.
Just keep up the good work!

Casa Laguana has everything: clean, comfortable rooms, lovely, welcoming proprietors, good food, great beach access, and a cat. And a lagoon! It's a destination in and of itself. Can't wait to return!

Room Tip: We recommend the larger room with private entrance and patio..

My husband and I stayed at Casa Laguna last week. We travelled from Bocas del Toro and had not yet eaten lunch when we arrived, so Maria kindly made us Caprese salads. I was so surprised when we tasted them to have such excellent quality Mozzarella cheese in the salad. Maria told us that they buy cheese that is imported from Italy, as well as many other ingredients including balsamic vinegar, olive oil, etc. We had the same delighted surprise when we tasted the handmade artisanal pasta made in the area, and the extremely low priced but delicious Italian wine--only $10/bottle. We had recently paid $23 for a bottle in Boquete that did not taste as good, so we were very happy. Our room was comfortable and immaculate. Casa Laguna is a very relaxed, reasonably priced place to stay. Its location so close to the beach is a bonus, and the best part is our hosts warm, considerate, and enthusiastic welcome and care during our stay.

Room Tip: If the patio room is available, fine. If not, the other rooms are perfectly fine as well.

I really don't know where to start. What a find Casa Laguna is. We received the warmest of welcomes from Maria when we arrived and were shown to a lovely clean, air conditioned room with a cute patio. The grounds are lovely, with plenty of shaded areas to read and chill, and if you want to brave the sun in high summer, there are lounge chairs and even a pool to cool off in.

Maria arranged a horse-riding tour for my wife which didn't disappoint; miles and miles of riding on beautiful wide beaches so close you could sleep-walk to them.

My wife and I loved the approach Maria and Mike had to catering. It was simple, fresh, good value and really tasty. Italian favourites, rather than haute cuisine, but just what we wanted.

I would recommend Casa Laguna to anyone who wants a comfortable, laid back stay in a gorgeous part of Panama. We miss it already!

Room Tip: Ground floor room has a patio overlooking the garden. But the rooms at the front have views of the s...

We planned to stay 4 nights and added one night at the spot. Stay was very nice and relaxing, We had the room with the private patio. Ask for it, it's a must have in our opinion.
Surroundings are great, Beach is a very short walk away and in the near is a lagune. We ate at Casa Laguna every night (great service!) but when the bill came through we were kind of surprised. The food was to basic to deserve a 10 dollar price tag (p/p). Also the rooms are overpriced we think. (compared to other and better ones in Panama)

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the private patio.

Thank you for your review.
Sorry that you were surprised at the cost of the food.
When you asked the pricelist for dinner, we said that our main dishes (italian food) had a cost of around $ 10.
We also had accepted that you bring your own wine, even if we sell it here at the B & B. .
Out of courtesy, we changed your standard room to our bigger room (to meet your needs) at no extra cost .
After our courtesy, you had decided to stay an extra night, which was a pleasure for us and we had also left the lower rate for that evening eventhough you had the bigger room.
We explained that there are other restaurants in the area , and that you were able to reach them easily by car (you arrived here by car). We never forced you to dine here.
Our dishes are all homemade and we use only excellent quality and imported products from Italy .
We are not a restaurant, and quality supplies are limited here so we go to David ( 160 kms round trip ) at least once a week. To provide our clients with very good european products.
The prices for our fresh and homemade products does not seem exaggerated to us.
There are restaurants in our area that offer 5 - 10 $ per meal.
We apologize that you had not reviewed your invoice at time of the payment. We could explain why eating Italian food in Panama can be a little more expensive than the simple local food.
There are also other kind of facilities in the area. We believe that the price we ask is consistent with the quality we try to offer our customers... only 2 steps to the beach.

There is really very little I can add to the great reviews that have already been written except to say that everything you read about Casa Laguna is true. Maria and Mike are perfect hosts that will make you feel right at home in their Casa. The food, ambiance, beach and area were everything we could have hoped for.

Casa Laguna is a true sanctuary! It is both beautiful and peaceful. You have access to the laguna that connects to the ocean and the ocean. Furthermore, Maria and her husband have developed a beatiful garden layout. The rooms are big, with their own bathroom. They all have AC and you have access to wifi. You should definitely stay more then two days as it will give you the ability to truly enjoy the magic of this place. But the true treasure of this B&B are both Maria and Michele. They are amazing hosts. They made my ten day stay at Casa Laguna truly worth while. I felt like I was with family. Furthermore, they are both amazing cooks! The food was delicious. I might have gained a couple of pounds.
