“Small & Worn Out”
Reviewed 5 November 2012

This hotel is ageing & it shows. From the swinging of the old-school aluminium/glass doors to my mattress to the bathroom to my mini tv which doesn't get good reception of the 3 local channels. The rooms were small. There is just enough space to move about. The bathrooms are simplistic & worn.
My room smelled like an ashtray. With the air-conditioning on, you get used to it after a while. The hallways echo very loudly so expect to be awakened by revellers fumbling clumsily about in the middle of the night.
It has free wifi which has a good speed. Compared to many of the similarly priced Kapit budget hotels, this one is actually okay because everything is clean & in working order. The best would be Arkhill. You'd be lucky to get a room there. This place might just be second best at the budget price range.

I travelled for 5 hrs from Kuching by Express boat to Sibu. The ticket price is RM45. the express leaves Pending Port at 0830. Along the way to sibu the boat passed south china sea n the stop at Tg Manis n Serekei. I reached Sibu at 1330. Then i took another express boat at 1430 to kapit. The journey to Kapit stop at, Serekei, Konawit n song. The ticket price is RM25. U can see longhouse at river bank beside timber logging Camp. I checked in Kapit River View inn for RM60. We no longer be able to see river from this hotel because of the development of new building at the river bank. There are not road connecting to this place. It is totally isolated from other part of Borneo n only connected by efficient trips of express boat. The boat can take 100 passengers. It is really enjoyable journey i ever experience. Rejang river is the longest river in Borneo n u must take that journey to complete your Borneo exploration.
