“Lovely discovery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2014

I stayed here with my partner and two dogs over the May bank holiday.
The location is perfect for discovering Hook head and Wexford.
The setting is lovely, with sheep, lambs and highland cattle on the drive in.
The house is very nicely decorated and the welcome was very friendly.
The rooms are a good size with a very comfortable, well aired bed.
The breakfast was just huge!
The owners are very friendly and welcoming. I would stay there again.
Dogs can stay in the rooms but you get a better night sleep with them in the car instead!

We returned to Glendine House having spent a wonderful few days there some years ago with my elderly mother who has since passed. She had a wonderful time with us and our return visit over the last few days reminded us, once again, of the peace and quiet we found there before, the openness of a place where pots of tea and coffee are served around the clock and there is attention to every detail, and where you feel so relaxed that you sleep like you did as a child. Glendine House is a lovely, big old house where you can have company if you want it or come and go without any interference. We stayed in the main house but there are also two self-catering cottages on the property...Along with sheep and baby lambs, and deer and cattle grazing in the fields nearby. Great breakfast too....This place is a find....

I can't wait to come back to The Glendine. We were greeted by one of the boys and a great young host he was - we had a delightful discussion about his hurling match. The bedrooms were very spacious, elegant and warm. Great views from the bedrooms. Breakfast was amazing. I'll find a reason to come back to this area just to stay at Glendine Country House longer.

We found this accommodation to be of a very good standard, with friendly and welcoming service.

There was a good selection of breakfast offerings and home fruit cake and tea on offer in the afternoon.

We brought our 3 year old with us who had a chance to feed the deer in the grounds, which was a very nice touch.

I stayed at the glendine with my best friend . It is rated a four star B and B however we both rate it as a five star. The owners are very welcoming and very friendly. They gave us lots of tips as to what to do in the area. The house was spotless and warm. The shower was lovely and hot. The breakfast was made to order and piping hot. It was tasty and there was a great choice. The rate was very reasonable We look forward to returning again very soon.

I have stayed in Glendine House on several occasions. The setting of the house is beautiful and Anne and Tom Crosbie are the most perfect hosts! The house itselef is very elegant and the bedrooms are spacious and classical, with lovely views from the windows. Breakfast is so good, especially Anne's homemade muesli, that it would encourage any guest to get up early. Anne and Tom do everything within their power to make their guests feel at home and confortable. Families with children will just love the deer and highland cattle as well as the well fed family dog. Highly recommend it.

I think it was about 2010/2011 (ignore the travel date that I had to select) when my wife & I stayed here for one night as we drove through Ireland for a wedding. So fabulous was it that it stays strong in the memory.

Upon arrival we were greeted so very well and after being show to the room, which was gorgeous (including a fabulous bathroom); we were offered afternoon tea & scones/cakes. So idyllic sat in the bay window of one of the ground floor rooms. The place in general is so well kept, clean and in a beautiful location.

Just when you thought the hospitality couldn't get any better, they were so accommodating in doing us an early breakfast because of the early start that we had heading off to the wedding the following morning. Not only did they provide us with warm, fresh-out-of-the-oven scones to have with our breakfast, they even wrapped up a few extra ones for us to take with us!

Beautiful and extremely friendly place and I would make a point of heading to this part of Ireland once again just to stay here once more.

Can't believe it took me so long to write a review...
