“A beautiful hidden treasure.”
Reviewed 29 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We had a excellent stay at Mill farm. The cottage was like a home from home, everything we needed was there. We stayed with our two daughters aged 7 & 4 and a nine month old baby. All our requirements were met at the cottage. The location is quiet and beautiful, just what we were looking for. The girls enjoyed feeding the donkeys everyday and going up to the chicken coup to see if the hens had laid any eggs. The new playhouse was a hit also, they looked forward to going in there in the evening to play table tennis. They had the freedom to play in a safe environment without there parents watching over them all the time. Catherine & Austin are very welcoming and had good advice on places to go and see.
We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year.

Thank you very much for taking the time out and giving such a wonderful review of your holiday, it really is great to read that you enjoyed your holiday. We loved having you here to stay and would be delighted to see you all back again. Tell the girls that the hens are really busy now, laying eggs every day, Austin is kept really busy searching for the eggs among the bushes. Thank you again for choosing to come on holiday to Mill Farm. Best wishes always from Austin & Catherine

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at Mill Farm. We loved having you and your family come to stay and especially glad to hear that the cottage suited you all. "Mr Hoppity" is in great form with all the attention given him by the children - its holiday time for him when the season starts up again each year. Thank you again for your business. “Highly recommended self-catering accommodation”
Reviewed 15 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We have been to stay in Mill Farm cottages twice - we stayed in Brook Cottage in 2012 and returned to stay in Fern Cottage this summer. On both occasions we have found the cottages to be without fault - exceptionally clean and well furnished with lots of attention to small details (right down to the right type of bed linen for the kids) which really makes you feel thought about and welcomed. The holiday home comes well-equipped upon arrival with a starter pack of milk, tea, toilet rolls and usually a lovely sweet treat. Catherine and Austin are excellent hosts and make you feel most welcome and are happy to help on any occasion. The children had a fabulous time playing in the courtyard with all the toys available to them and also the donkeys and the rabbit were great attractions. We look forward to visiting them again soon!

“Exceptional self catering cottages”
Reviewed 11 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

This was our first trip to Ireland, and it certainly won't be our last thanks to Catherine and Austin at Mill Farm. After arriving on a cold evening at the beginning of January, we were welcomed by a roaring open fire, milk in the fridge, chocolate biscuits, and the most charming and tastefully decorated cottage we have ever stayed in - exactly what we needed after a long journey and busy Christmas. Our dogs were welcome too, and they loved the fire as much as we did! The cottages were immaculately clean and had everything you needed and more. The mill has been in Austen's family since it was built and they are currently turning the main house into a wonderful bed and breakfast. With their warm friendly service and attention to detail , we're sure it will be a hit. We would highly recommend Mill Farm Cottages and hope to visit again soon

“The best self-catering cottage in Ireland”
Reviewed 3 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

My wife, four year old daughter and I stayed at Austin and Catherine Redmond's charming Rose Cottage for an entire glorious week.
We were so impressed, not only with the cottage, which was clean, neat and warm with a fire lit in the hearth when we arrived, but also with our hosts' hospitality. They left, to our delight, a liter of fresh milk in the fridge (to use with the coffee and tea in the cupboard) and a wonderful chocolate cake in the kitchen for our enjoyment.
Even the smallest detail was attended to, like Austin bringing their four donkeys around to the cottage' s well-equipped play area and supplying kindling to light the next morning's fire. The beds were warm and came equipped with electric blankets and down duvets.
It is such a beautiful surrounding area in Foulkesmills and each night we went to bed with the sound of a tranquil stream(which used to power the mill of Mill Farm) trickling down its course.
The day before our departure we were surprised to find a "Frozen" bag of treats hanging on the front door, for our daughter to take with her the rest of our trip.
We have never experienced friendliness and hospitality like this before, which makes this simply The Best Cottage in Ireland!

What a wonderful review - thank you so much. We were thrilled to have you come to stay at Mill Farm. Really glad that you liked the cottage and the open fire. The delight on your little girl's face when the donkeys came round made us all smile. Hope you equally enjoyed your week in the west of Ireland. Best wishes from Mill Farm and Ireland.
