Our experience at Cobble House was truly wonderful! Ingrid, our hostess, made our stay very comfortable for us. She provided us with an extremely clean and cozy bedroom, AMAZING breakfasts, and lots of information about the area. Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. Cobble house is in a beautiful location surrounded by nature, wildlife, and many wineries. It is the perfect place to go if you want to unwind from the city life for a weekend. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast and I hope to be back there soon!

Cobble Hill B&B is a little jewel tucked away in the beautiful Cowichan Valley. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet, and the meals were incredible. It's location makes it easy to explore the vineyards and restaurants in the area. Ingrid and Simon were wonderful hosts, and we will happily return for another get-away.

My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at the Cobble Hill B&B recently. We saw it advertised on the Living Socials website and thought it was a great deal and a nice place to get away for the weekend. Due to a glitch in our reservation, we were bumped up to the spacious Hummingbird Room (thanks Ingrid!) which has a nice sitting area, a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a private entrance. This room looks out onto the back yard and the woods beyond, which is a very tranquil setting. All the reviews I read said how clean it is, and they were not wrong! The room and the whole house were very clean, with lots of detail to theme. Our room and bathroom even had a sprucing up while we were out, which I hadn't expected. Ingrid served up wonderful breakfasts each morning and we felt very spoiled. Simon was hard at work painting up the deck for the summer when we arrived and, as we found out later, is a man of many talents.
Our trip also included lunch at the Merridale Cidery which was really nice and very close to the B&B. We also had dinner one night at the Masthead in Cowichan Bay Village which was one of the best dinners we've ever had. There are quite a few wineries in the area as well, along with daily tours. On our way home back to Vancouver, we stopped at a local Glass Blowing business which makes wonderful items. We got a personal demonstration of a wine glass being made freehand and we ended up buying a few items for ourselves.
We would definitely go back again and would recommend this B&B to others.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Cobble House and are very pleased to say what a wonderful place it is. Cobble House is set in a very quiet sem-forrested area--the only sounds we heard were the chirping of the birds. Ingrid, our hostess, was very gracious and prepared tremendous breakfasts. Our room was large, with easy chairs by the window, a fridge and coffee/tea making supplies and great shampoo and bath gel products. Everything was extremely immaculate--just the way I like it! The Merridale Cidery is practically across the street and well worth a visit--the food is great (we ate, practically IN the apple orchard, basking in the sunshine) and, after a 6-flite cider tasting, I am now a cider fan! There is an approx. 1 k. loop around the cidery for a self-guided tour, complete with inspections of a fairy mine! Loved it.
Down the road just another minute or two is the Amuse' Restaurant, set in a vineyard. This is a really special, top-class restaurant. The Kinsol Tressle bridge is amazing, and you can walk forever on the nearby TransCanada trail. Cowichan Bay is 20 minutes away and is a very laid-back picturesque maritime village.

If you like waking up on a comfortable bed in a quiet, tranquil setting, eating breakfast while the deer graze outside the window, and exploring winding, pastoral roads leading to wonderful attractions, this is the place for you!

We had an excellent experience staying a weekend at Cobble House. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. Cobble House is in a very quiet location, well back from the road, and we had the best sleeps in weeks. Ingrid was a great tour advisor. We particularly enjoyed the Kinsol Tressle and the local Heritage Museum in Cobble Hill.

When my daughter and I arrived at Cobble House B&B we were warmly greeted by Ingrid and Simon Vermegen. Our room was beautifully decorated, some of the furnishings being antique, it was very spacious and the beds were firm. Everything was immaculate, yet very inviting and comfortable.

Ingrid's breakfasts were a feast of delights. She is an excellent, creative chief: the homemade jams and scones were particularly delicious. Everything was served graciously.

Ingrid was very helpful in giving us information on the events in the Cowichan Valley and, in fact,
told us about a Pacific Northwest Raptors demonstration that was thrilling and informative.

It was a pleasure to stay in a beautiful, spacious home, and to be so warmly and graciously welcomed. Ingrid and Simon's B&B deserves to continue to be award winning.

We stayed at Cobble House, b/c it was recommended to us by a nearby restaurant called Amuse. Amuse is an excellent restaurant, and anyone visiting for a meal may wish to consider staying the night at Cobble House, just down the road. Our room was huge, with lots of light and space to lounge. The common areas of the house were gorgeous, with comfy furniture, stone fireplace, and vaulted ceilings. The highlight was definitely breakfast: a generous multi-course meal that started with fresh fruit topped with edible flowers, and ended with homemade turkey, egg and veg fritatta. Yum! We left well-rested and well-fed, and happy to have met our happy hosts.
