“Don't miss the Lágrimas Negras red wine”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

We have been to many wineries over the years but this trip was our first one to Vancouver Island wineries. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the attractiveness of the wineries, quality of the wine and the knowledge of the folks working at the winery stores.

Cherry Point is a beautiful location. They have been a seasonal charming restaurant/private function building adjoining the tasting room. The tasting room probably gets very busy on summer weekends.

I am not a red wine person but I was quite taken with the Lágrimas Negras ("black tears"). We also picked up some white wine jelly which we are enjoying.

“Lovely location!”
Reviewed 21 August 2013 via mobile

Stopped at this winery on a tour of vineyards/wineries and I must say, it was the best! The wine tasting was so informative as the owners explained a great deal about the art of growing grapes and producing different types of wines and port. We sat outside on a fabulous terrace on a gorgeous sunny day. The gardens and trees around the terrace were lovely. Wines tasted were of good quality and I learned a lot of interesting facts about this small winery. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Didn't try the bistro but saw the menu and it sounded great! Wines from this vineyard have to be purchased on site.

“Beautiful locale and wines!”
Reviewed 31 March 2013

Although their bistro is not yet open, we had a fantastic time enjoying a tasting at this unbelievably beautiful winery. We want to come back when we can visit the bistro as well. What we appreciated is that during the tasting we were given just that, a taste. Being a wine lover, it may sound odd that I just want 'a taste' but I've been to wineries where they give you too much and if you don't like it, well ... Anyway, we tasted several of their wines and bought 3. The Coastal Red 2010, the Pinot Blanc 2011 and the Bete Noire 2011. We look forward to enjoying these fine wines and returning to Cherry Point as soon as possible.

“Slow down and enjoy”
Reviewed 19 March 2012

This was our online vineyard visit as part of our girl's trip of the NW. So we had to remind ourselves that we were not in a hurry and we just needed to enjoy the experience.

The Bistro service was incredibly slow yet friendly. The dining hall seemed more like a flexible space sometimes used for events and sometimes used as a restaurant. The bathroom facilities made you feel like you were in a state park.

The food, the flavors and the presentation made you forget all of the above!

“Everything was absolutely incredible.”
Reviewed 4 December 2011

Great place to spend a summer afternoon. Service staff from the shop to the bistro were all happy, friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and paired well with the vineyard's wines. Best of all, the setting is so beautiful and peaceful that you feel like you want to stay there forever.
The mussels and the Coastal White wine were our favorites.
