“Tranquil Setting & Fantastic Hosts”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

We stayed at Hanbury Lodge at the beginning of June and couldn't have wanted for better accommodation, friendlier hosts or a more central location. A very relaxing holiday in the countryside but close to the stunning Pembrokeshire beaches of Saundersfoot and Tenby, with the boutique town of Narbeth close by too.

Not only were we greeted by Paula and Lee but also a most generous "welcome" hamper with local produce and fresh eggs from the free range chickens and the whole holiday was topped off by sole use of the pool that was always at an ideal temperature.

We cant recommend Hanbury Lodge highly enough and would urge anybody who is looking to visit Pembrokeshire to try and stay (would advise to try and book early as it is popular!!), ideal for larger families or groups of friends it has everything.

Although we didn't go ourselves Folly Farm is five minutes away and Oakwood theme park which looks like a good family day out was also only 10 minute by car.

My husband and I along with our children (all 5 of them! ! Aged between 4 and 13) had a fantastic week for Whitsun Holidays May 2014. We had bank holiday there where our friends came to visit, we had a lovely bbq whilst sat out under the pergola watching all the children have hours of fun in the very warm pool!
The house had everything you could think of and if we needed anything else Lee and Paula were on hand to help.
The house was clean and very modern.
The children loved the trampoline, the play area, the hammock in the trees and the chickens!! The boys also appreciated having a kick around with a ball with Lee and Paula's son Luke.
Beautiful surroundings. We didnt leave the whole week which meant we didnt even spend any unnecessary money on gimmicks! (Which in other places we would have needed another mortgage!)
It was a week that was home from home but relaxing at the same time!
We all highly recommend Hanbury Lodge and have already booked to go back next year!!!

Just got back from a lovely weekend in hanbury lodge . Weather was perfect which only enhanced our stay . The house was spotless and fully equipped , there was nothing not thought of . But the highlight was the garden , pool and alfresco cooking and dining area . It was beautiful and we made many happy memories there . The owners Paula and Lee were so helpful and went out of their way to make it a great weekend .Thank you so much , would not hesitate to go back was bliss .

Myself and my husband stayed at Hanbury Lodge from the 3rd of May for a week, we were greeted upon our arrival by lee and Paula, both of whom are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area, where to eat and what to do etc. the house is set in stunning grounds and is beautifully decorated and comfortable. We were given fresh free range eggs laid by the hanbury hens and they are gorgeous. The location is perfect for Tenby and saundersfoot, both of which are quaint towns with plenty to see and do and the many beaches provide some amazing scenery. There are 2 pubs within walking distance, one of which serves great food and the other is a proper welcoming local pub..... Of course, we frequented both! On the whole we had a fantastic week and will definitely be staying here again in the future... Thank you lee and Paula.

We stayed at Hanbury Lodge after a recommendation from a friend of the family. It was the first week of the Easter holidays, and we were taking our 3 young children which are 7,6&1 yrs of age. We arrived at the lodge and immediately loved the location. The house was clean, spacious and perfect for our family. The house catered for all our needs in size and location. The children loved the huge garden where a big trampoline, climbing frame and swimming pool lit up their faces! Our youngest son especially loved the chickens that roamed around happily and would wait every morning to see them being let out to play.
As very busy professionals we could not want for more. We loved every minute of our break, the tranquility and the fact we were so close to the beaches and Folly Farm made life so much easier. We cannot wait to
return and look forward to seeing you all again, especially for more cheese and eggs!

Hanbury Lodge is a recently re-furbished holiday home. It is set in peacefull quiet surroundings just five minutes walk from the village where, you can use the facilities of the Cross Park holiday club house and the take away. The Lodge itself is very well equiped with plenty of room for all occupant's. Eight of my family had a wonderfull stay and we would recommend it highly. The outdoor pool IS very warm and just a few yards away from the house. To find out how to book just visit. w--------.co.uk then go to Self catering in Tenby & saundersfoot Hanbury Lodge, Stay in Wales, this is at the bottom of the page.
