“Not just a stay an experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

The warmest of welcomes awaits you at Honeysuckle Cottage. Not only was it a pleasure to stay here but also to meet our host Valarie and JD the dog (what a gent). This haven is excellently located for all the surrounding attractions but also tranquilly nestled in the countryside with nothing but the sound of garden birds...bliss. From the moment my husband, our little boy and I arrived until we waived our goodbyes we were made to feel at home and catered for; the afternoon coffee and scones upon arrival was an especially nice touch. Our room was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, feeling both modern and cosy not to mention spacious. In our room also was a wealth of well put together info on the area with Valarie very willing to satisfy any additional questions we had. The ample breakfast each morning was well presented and delicious, offering lots of choice. All in all this is a wonderful place to stay so for anyone reading this, don't hesitate for a moment to book. We absolutely loved the Antrim coast and got great weather, such a lovely weekend.

We arrived at Honeysuckle Cottage with a dangling side mirror, a banged up car and frayed nerves. Valerie met us at the door with her beloved Border Collie, J.D. and a big smile, got us inside and told us it was going to be okay. Next thing we knew, we had a pot of tea, fresh scones with jam and whipped cream, and she was taping the mirror up back to the car! This began our trip of several B&B's and was by far the most outstanding. Our three nights at Honeysuckle Cottage were just wonderful. The area is the most beautiful part of Ireland and Valerie's is the perfect location to base from to see everything from Bushmill's to The Giant's Causeway, to where The Game of Thrones is filmed. Valerie is a wealth of knowledge and fun. The house is sparkling clean, hot water plentiful. rooms are large and the hospitality is endless. We will most certainly go back. Remember to ask about Charles and Camilla. You'll be gobsmacked!!

Room Tip: They are all wonderful.

What a pleasure to have you both stay at Honeysuckle Cottage, I'm so glad I met you, and I was more than happy to help with the car mishap, it's wonderful how a cuppa can calm everything down. Thank you for your kind and sincere remarks on our home. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves around this beautiful part of the North Coast it really is the most lovely place to live.
Please return soon, take care and best wishes to you both, Valerie x

We found Honeysuckle Cottages to be in a great location for what we had planned to do in the area. It was in a quiet location, with spacious and well equipped room, and a lot of useful tourist information to help with refinements to our broad plans. Valerie was a wonderful hostess, with plenty of good tips about dining options, things to do, and a real passion for her area and her visitors. She cooked us great breakfasts and even went out of her way to satisfy some food requirements. She was a good source of local information and don't forget to ask her about her meeting with Royalty - you will feel like you were there too.

Room Tip: I think that all rooms would be great - we had one at the front of the house with lovely views over...

From the moment we walked up to the door, we felt at home. Valerie greeted us with a big smile and warm kindness, just as a mother would. She was so hospitable, accommodating, and friendly. She had a binder of suggested things to do and see, as well as a keen knowledge of the area. She was so fun to chat with! It's clear that Valerie loves what she does! The hot breakfast she made to order was delicious and left us not wanting for anything. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The setting of the cottage is on a lovely country road and everything about this place made us wish we could linger longer! We highly recommend the Honeysuckle Cottage and the hospitality of Valerie!

My friend and I stayed in this amazing beautiful Cottage BnB.. Valerie was lovely and friendly and very helpful about the area, where to eat and what to see. The room was amazing. Huge clean and everything you needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were very comfortable and after our long day were very welcoming for a great nights sleep.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this BnB. Stay here you won't be sorry. I hope to be back someday.

Room Tip: The room we stayed in was large and vey comfortable.

My daughter and I stayed at Honeysuckle Cottage for 2 nights on a short visit to Northern Ireland. The room was extremely comfortable, roomy, clean and tastefully decorated. The inn is well deserving of its 4 star rating. It is well located with easy access by car to Portrush, Giants Causeway, and other regional attractions. It is just off the main road in a peaceful and quiet countryside location.

And more importantly, I can't say enough about how kind and welcoming Valerie was to my daughter and I during our stay. Her made to order breakfast each morning was very well done as well.

Highly recommended!!

Our stay at Honeysuckle was one of the most wonderful of our stays during our round trip in Ireland. Our room was plush, clean, spacious and the bed was very, very comfortable, exactly what we needed after our first exciting hours of driving on the left. Valerie is the nicest host you could wish for. She's very welcoming, we really enjoyed chatting with her and her breakfasts were downright delicious. Thanks to her hairdryer our camera survived an accident between our backpack and the typical Irish weather. The B&B is very conveniently located in the North, making it a very good choice for day trips to i.e. Belfast, Bushmills and the Giant's Causeway coastline. Highly recommended.
