We discoverd this hotel via internet because we wanted a reliable place to stay within driving distance of some less well-known historic-tourist sites and was also near two small hilltop villages that were the homes of our ancestors but which we had never seen or visited previously..

By use of a series of Google maps, we easily found the villages and the roads that allowed us to visit and then return to this hotel each day . These rural-road excursions were better than any tour could offer if you want to experience the heart of this country.and connect to its people. The hotel provided a peaceful and beautiful alternate to the daytime visits to crowded city streets and vendor-congested marketplaces,. Tourists taking advantage of this hotel's location can experince Italy in depth because, like the hotel staff, (all of whom spoke English as well s other languages) the residents and shopkeepers in the nearby town are patient , helpful and obviously deligted to have strangers interested enough to try to be 'one of them' We were treated like returning family members although we spoke no Italian. They were anxiious to 'help ' if we asked the names of different items or asked directions. We had a chance to observe their spacial kindnesses when chldren made inquiries ... mini-Italian lessons were provided with smiles. Their interaction with strangers was, as usual,,a reflection of the way we approach them

We WILL return to this oasis because its location allowed in-depth visits to tourist sites of our choosing as well as a return visit to family roots areas . At the end of such busy days, the hotel provided a place for peace, good meals, swimming pool and flowere filled patio areas that looked out on the green mountain areas aroud us. What a combination fo blessings !

Room Tip: Ask to see room before final agreement. Staff will be happy to do this. They wanted us to be happy with our stay (5 days) . We spent so little time in the room that it was not important, although the room was as beautiful as any we have had in many other, more expensive hotels.

I stayed here with family in August last year as we were visiting Italian relatives nearby. The hotel and restaurant downstairs were amazing and could not have been more welcoming during our 6 day stay. Breakfast was included and the pastries were to die for as was the coffee, we ate in the restaurant under the hotel on several nights and the meals were some of the most authentic dishes I've had in Italy - my family are Italian so I know what I am talking about. The pool is small but views are breathtaking. All in all, fab hotel with really friendly staff makes for a lovely stay.

This was my weardest stay ever in Italy. It's like we were back in the eighties. I think nothing has changed there since then. The decorations, the food, the rooms, even the music was eighties. It seems like a huge hotel, but appart from us I think only another 2 couples stayed there. Swimming pool was ok, not great.
Nevertheless, spotless clean and very large rooms, friendly people and astonishing views. I wouldn't go back if I didn't had to be there, since nothing much to do in the neighbourhoud, but If I had to go back in this region, I'd go to the hotel Serino.

We stayed just one night but were impressed by the value offered by this hotel. The room was large, clean and well equipped. Annelise, on reception was exteremely helpful and friendly but the 'stand out' in terms of value for money and quality was the excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant.
