My husband and I only booked this charming apartment for 2 nights, but wished we could have stayed longer. The proprietor met us at his office up the road, at the start of the old city of Eboli,to checkin. We then got in our car and followed him,on his Vespa, about 100 metres down the cobbled road,to the carpark near the apartment. It was quite an old building, yet it had been tastefully redecorated. On the bottom floor was a lovely restaurant and then up a couple of flights of stone stairs,we arrived at our very own terrace with outdoor furniture, umbrella and private garden.Once inside, the "wow" factor kicks in.Clean,fresh,spacious,ultra-modern and fully self contained, with everything you need to feel at home.Stove, kettle, toaster, aircon,TV,kitchen table & chairs and a lounge area.Crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, wine glasses and even a washing machine...it is all supplied. The big surprise is the 4 poster bed in the bedroom. There is also a "murphy" bed and another bed in the lounge,so it can easily sleep up to 6 people.
After living out of a suitcase for 3 weeks,it was great to unpack,do a load of washing and hang it on the line, out the window to dry (just like the Italians do). Eboli is a wonderful place to wander around and so many good restaurants. We drove to Paestum,26 kilometres away to see the Greek temples;so much history around Eboli. If you are ever in the area,we recommend you stay in this accomodation.
What a hidden gem! This apartment is in the center of the old city of Eboli, Italy. Our host met us just outside of town to escort us to the apartment, because it would be hard to find otherwise. There is free parking. The apartment is on the second floor of a very old building (no elevator). On the first floor is a fantastic restaurant - not to be missed! The apartment has a gorgeous patio. Inside it is clean, efficient and comfortable. There is a clothes washer so that was helpful, too. Most of all, our hosts were so warm, friendly and helpful. We loved our stay there and want to go back!
