Me and Swedish friends were walking in the Curno area close to Bergamo, looking for a quite fast and simple (but still of course good) lunch just before going to thé airport. All over sudden we stood in front of Ristorante Casanova. "Why not", we said and stept in. It prooved to be one of our best culinaric choises in a ten days trip around in Italy. The kitchen was without doubt much more ambitious than we had aspected and probably planned for. Still there were no exagerations. Homemade bread. Unfiltered beer from a local brewery. The best gnocchi i ever have eaten, with fried scampi on top. Nice treatment. We smiled in happiness on our way to the airport. And I'm still smiling here, under Swedish september rain.
