We stayed at Angelos Village, Lakka, Paxos for one week in early June. The weather was perfect - warm and sunny and we greatly enjoyed our time on the beautiful island of Paxos.
Angelos Village is a collection of self catering villa-style apartments and maisonettes. It is situated above Lakka village with a very steep pathway down to the village - not great if you have problems with your knees! There is a back road from Lakka if you have a hire car or quad bike (like we did) and this is a pretty drive through the olive groves.
The apartments themselves are fairly basic. They all have outside balconies with great views over the harbour. Unfortunately there is obviously a damp problem in the kitchen as all of the cupboards smelt very musty. The kitchen lacks many basic items such as a can opener and chopping board. The bed was the typical hard Greek variety and the pillows were also hard as rocks! The bathroom was a good size and there was plenty of hot water. We had one change of towels during our week long stay.
The grounds around the apartments could be lovely, but are very over-grown and weedy. There was an apricot tree outside our apartment with delicious ripe fruit. The pool is the best feature of the complex - a good size for swimming and the water was much warmer than the sea temperature!
If you are looking for a reasonably priced self-catering apartment with great views and a swimming pool and aren't too fussy about other facilities, then the Angelos Village is for you.
