“A very chilled space”

Mark and Till, the owners made me feel very welcome. I was there on my own, but didn't feel like it. This was my first visit and certainly won't be my last. Mark, whom i spent some time chatting to was very ease to talk to and i felt i had known him ages. The room was immaculate and contained everything i needed. There is on television, but do you know what, i didn't miss it. It was good to relax, read and chat. Also a very well equipped private en-suite and the room had such an amazing view. A nice comfy big bed. I had diner, which was excellent. Good sized portions and all fresh and home cooked and excellent value at £15.00. The breakfast was also first class. Buffet style to start with, with lots of choice and a great cooked breakfast too, to start off the day. I would definitely recommend a stay here. It is also a good base to tour Fife and the surrounding area. If you give it a try, i'm sure you won't be disappointed. I'll be back and soon.

We stumbled on this lodge by accident but what a discovery. The lodge is nestled in the countryside surrounded by gardens, fields, rolling hills and mountains in the distance. The views are amazing. We stayed with our daughter in a huge room - very clean, comfortable with all the amenities. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We only had one night but wished we had a few more. Breakfast was excellent and our host Mark was warm and welcoming.

Having booked to stay for 3 nights, we arrived very tired and exhausted from busy work and city life. Just entering the place and being greeted so warmly and kindly made for a relaxing start. The interior of the house and the rooms oozes excellent taste and the genuine wish of the hosts to make you feel comfortable and at home. I loved the art work, which can actually be purchased via a charity website which the hosts have details of.
Our room was spacious, tasteful and cozy with gorgeous views and a very beautiful en-suite bathroom (we immediately made a mental note to "steal" some of the decorating ideas).
However, our favourite room of all was the sunroom, looking out to the beautiful garden and seemingly endless stunning countryside views beyond - it was such an amazing contrast to London, the experience of space, peace and quiet actually moved me to tears.
We had booked vegetarian evening meals as well as the (included) breakfasts (which were generous, multiple choice and lovingly presented) and our stomachs got one delicious treat after the other. I am sure we would have put on lots of weight, had it not been for the beautiful walks in the area.
Even after a relatively short time we left refreshed and rejuvenated.
This is a wonderfully healing place and we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Two of the four rooms (the double and the family room/dorm) have en-suite bathrooms with showers. Th...

living in london, for me this is the perfect place to go to be in contact with the nature again and to slow the pace down. this b&b is set in a wonderful location, surrounded by beautiful landscapes of the scottish countryside, but it is also 40 minutes by car from edinburgh, which makes it ideal if you are planning a few days of holiday and you want to have a taste of both wild countryside and a historical city full of culture. i also like the atmosphere of the house a lot: it is very peaceful, spacious, and light, again it is the ideal if you want to destress from a busy life, or just enjoy a few days of relax. The food is also amazing, very healthy and tasteful and Mark and Till are the perfect hosts. one of my favourite places.

Delightful hosts, excellent food, lovely room and exquisite bathroom that was not ensuite but just down the corridor. I did miss not having a television in the room as I like to watch it when on holiday as it makes me drowsy before sleep.

For me, the most important thing in a hotel or a restaurant, is the feeling you are "at home", that makes you feel peaceful and comfortable as in your own house. After staying at Cherry Tree Lodge for 3 days with my girlfriend, I can say without remorse that it is the best hotel/B&B I have ever been to. At Cherry Tree Lodge I had exactly that "home" feeling, more than at any other place I have ever been. Mark and Till are welcoming hosts, sharing their house and their best hospitality with you. Above all, they want to make you feel at ease and relaxed, and they got their formula right. Our room was very spacious tastefully furnished, the food was excellent and they even have an amazing "solarium", a room with a massive window and a couch to sit down and enjoy the Sun as it sets over the mountains in the background. I am definitely looking forward to the next time I will go there.

Mark & Till are such wonderful hosts... everything is perfect! Home cooked meals & treats, fires, located on a farm, splendid garden, simple but luxurious bedrooms with wonderful views.
We dined at home one night & spent a wonderful evening with our hosta & 3 other guests - the meal & the company were excellent!
