“Gorgeous Holiday”
Reviewed 2 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Myself and 7 friends rented the whole house for 11 nights in April. The house and staff were incredible and we all had an amazing, relaxing break. The pool is a beautiful temperature and we spent most days relaxing in the covered pool area or on the beach which is a 400m walk away. The chef prepared us amazing breakfasts and dinners which we all loved - especially the lobster. The housekeeper was extremely helpful and organised taxis for us at a moments notice. The night watchmen and gardeners were all very friendly and helped ensure our holiday went without a hitch.

We had visits daily from a huge group of monkeys which was incredible and chipmunks were always playing around the garden.

The house is stunning and is very well stocked the only issue we had is the 2 bedrooms downstairs do not have air conditioning and the heat was sometimes unbearable at night for 4 of the guests.

Overall a lovely break!

“Perfect stay”

This was a perfect stay in Mirissa. A short walk to the beach so easy to access the bars and restaurants. The property is stunning and the staff are so helpful. You can book just a room (which is ensuite) and Ravi will get you groceries and prepare you meals, Ironika keeps things tidy but also sorted out booking whale watching, getting us tea by the pool. The pool is so peaceful and a great respite from the beach. The villa is done so tastefully. We also loved the cute dog, Mango who always kept us company while reading or hanging out. Like a home away from home in a fantastic setting.

“The most amazing villa!”
Reviewed 30 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

My partner and I had been recommended this villa by our friends who had stayed here two years ago. We haven't ever been to Sri Lanka or a similar country so unsure what to expect. The area of mirissa is just amazing, and Siri Wedamadura Villa was absolutely fantastic for a luxurious and relaxing stay. The idea of sharing the villa with strangers was very daunting to us, however when we arrived we realised that this is the new way to holiday! You receive a much more personal experience, the staff are attentive and overall the stay is much more of a comfortable experience than a large hotel. The people who came to stay over our holiday were all very friendly.

The in house chef is just great, he will make the best Sri Lankan curries or pretty much anything you ask of him. He has great culinary experience and extremely friendly.

Mark the manager is also fab, he is very friendly and informative about the area and what is recommended to do during your stay in mirissa.

Overall the location of the Villa is great, you can walk to the beach bars and restaurants in under 5 minutes. It is also set back from the hussle and bussle of the main roads so you don't have any traffic or noise unlike a lot of the other hotels.

We will definitely be back to stay here in the future, whether it be us two or with a group of family and friends we will not be staying anywhere else in Marissa!

Thank you for a holiday of a lifetime!

“Wonderful house and staff”
Reviewed 5 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Great house, great location. Friendly and discreet staff. Best meals ever by your own chef. Fantastic housekeeper who did all our washing. Park like gardens with lots of wildlife. Close to beach but very quiet. Only drawback was we stayed in April, it was really hot a those of our party who had the downstairs bedrooms with no Airconditioning felt a bit cheated as upstairs bedrooms have A/C. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.

“Fabulous hotell or villa with four rooms”
Reviewed 19 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Er stayed seven friends six nights in this villa wich is also a hotel with four rooms. It's perfect. Beautiful house with luxurious rooms and design baths - but all in a simple style. Four minutes walk from the beach. Big garden with quite big pool. The staff is very nice and welcoming and the best about the place is the chef who can make all the meals you want for the cost of the shopping. We had the best meals ever and stopped going out for dinner.

You will not find ocean wiew but it's more calm and a lot more spacious than at the beachside.

Make sure you stay long enough to get the best holiday feeling!

“One of the best places I've ever stayed”

Quiet location (other side of the hill along the bay of Mirissa so even at night you only hear nature sounds), beautifully restored villa in superb style, a huge and lovely pool, great beds, perfect shower, great staff with the best sweetheart as housekeeper and a private cook who, on request, makes you the most tasteful dinner of your holiday. What are you waiting for?
You can find the villa at Booking.com, minimum stay 3 nights. The mentioned price here on TripAdvisor is for the entire villa (4 rooms for 2 persons) per week. We payed (Dec. 2015) about $ 150 per night for 2 persons including breakfast.

Just about to leave Siri Wedamadura after two weeks and we're feeling rather emotional. It's truly an amazing place to stay, with fantastic staff and animals (especially Mango the dog). We all feel very relaxed, and will definitely be back soon! The house is beautifully decorated with lovely antique furniture from mainly local sources, creating an incredibly calm atmosphere. Gamage the chef is truly talented and every meal was divine (we want to take him with us... as well as Mango). We are truly saddened to be leaving such a fantastic place, but we are leaving relaxed, cultured and tanned. Many thanks to all who made Siri Wedamadura such a special place in such a special country. Nat Lukes & co.
