I originally booked to stay for a single night whilst doing the Coleridge Way but ended up staying the next night as well. The owner, Shelagh Bellamy, is a delight and really goes out of her way to make her guests feel at home. She goes way beyond the call of duty to help her guests and my trip would have been far less enjoyable without Shelagh's friendliness and assistance.
Bridleside is spotlessly clean and the rooms are very comfortable. It is set just back off the main route (which isn't busy anyway) through Monksilver and the only noise that you may hear at night is the soothing sound of barn owls. Monksilver itself is a small and quaint village and the ideal stopping off point for the first night if you are doing the Coleridge Way. There is a recently reopened village pub that is ideal to have an evening meal and a pint or two as well.
Stay at Bridleside, you won't regret it.
