“Paradise on earth”

We've just got back from our honeymoon on PSV. Most people probably have dreams about the perfect honeymoon and I suspect these often involve somewhere that is so relaxed that it's horizontal, beautiful quiet beaches, wonderful food, gorgeous seas, efficient and unobtrusive service, (friendly without being obsequious) and so on. It is simply impossible to find anything about this place that could be improved.

We just returned from PSV, and we loved it. Having a whole, very uncrowded, island at your disposal is just amazing. We enjoyed the hiking, lounging, eating, drinking and other activities (sailing lessons and snorkeling/swimming with sea turtles in the Tobago Cays) on/from the island. The staff was very friendly, and our cottage was very private with amazing beach access. The beach bar has amazing sunset views and lots of Hairoun (which is quite possibly our favorite beer from anywhere on the globe). They also organized a wonderful, private beach dinner for my husband's birthday. The resort has a few kinks to work out but we learned that since the island was acquired by a new owner they're focusing on doing that. I'd return to this island in a heartbeat.

We anchored in the bay in front of the resort and dinghyed over to the lower beach bar. Greeted with an exotic rum drink with a friendly staff. Plenty of seating to watch the sunset. Restaurant had full exotic menu. Choose your own gigantic lobster from an old wishing well. Exclusive resort and beach for guests only. You do not see any of the private cabins scattered on the hill. We were not dressed appropriately (shirt and tie) for the hilltop restaurant. The waves slapping the beach, creative drinks, warm tropical breeze, boats anchored off shore bobbing up and down with the gentle ocean. The lights twinkling from Petit Martinique across the channel. My next trip to the Grenadines will include this top notch resort as a romantic getaway on my sailboat..anybody want to come for an adventure?...

A dream come true. It's hard to believe a place so secluded, exotic and accessible really exists. Everything about my stay here was perfect. Beaches are spectacular, accommodations are beautiful and the staff doesn't miss a trick. Short of rocketing to another planet, it's hard to imagine having more peace and solitude.

Just returned to UK after 10 idyllic days in PSV. Faultless delightful, casually effortlessly efficient service, wonderful welcoming staff, seamless efficient connections maximising time in PSV. Choice of fancy restaurant or casual beach bar, a favourite of ours, or eat all meals in the privacy of your house. So peaceful. The little houses are really comfortable, beds notably so, great shower rooms, comfortable out door and indoor furniture and a wide selection of location beach front or bluff. Must do: Charter the Beautiful traditional boat Beauty
with Captain Geoff go on an adventure for the day enjoy lobster grilled to perfection and great company or get Desmond to show you the ropes on the islands Hobie Cats, then race him round the island (Hint he will let you win!). Or do nothing, the time passes quickly in this paradise, West End beach has tucked away lounging hammocks and sun beds where any meals or drinks are brought by mini moke as all room service is.
A memorable holiday in a stunning place taken care of by lovely people what could be better?

I have just returned from my first visit to PSV in about ten years. The cottages have been updated and a beach bar and spa added but the essence of the place remains the same.

The food is better. The dinner menus are varied and imaginative and the execution, superb. Lunch at the beach bar is a welcome innovation. Breakfast is very good with the single exception of the croissants which are heavier than in the past. On the other hand, the the pastry basket is more varied.

The cottages now have a mini-bar/refrigerator and a Nespresso machine (to compliment the still-excellent room service.)

There was a large box of Neuhaus chocolates, champagne and a jar of home made cookies in each of our cottages to welcome us -- in addition to pina coladas as we stepped ashore from Captain Maurice's boat. And there was a bagged lunch when we left.

I came with my family which included a well behaved 2 1/2 year-old. That might have been a problem but it was not. And my grandson had a ball. He loved it: the beach, the birds, the hiking trails, the hammocks, the swimming and boating, and the food. He is eager to go back and so are we all.

The staff at PSV were, as ever, marvelously helpful and friendly. The grounds are well-tended. The food, as noted above, is delicious. And the cottages are extremely comfortable. (They have even gotten rid of the bumpy stone floors in the showers.) And the A/C in the bedroom was welcome if not really necessary.

A word about price: PSV is not cheap. But it was far more reasonable than the somewhat comparable Guana Island. The pampering, privacy and space that PSV provides are unmatched in my experience and well worth the price.

My wife and I have just left PSV following a wonderful 2 week stay, we were keen to see how the island looked now that it has a new owner
when we heard that the island had been newly purchased and had undergone a renovation we were worried that the island had been radically changed upsetting the unique characteristics that have encouraged us back regularly over 10 years,
We should not have worried the island looks great
the new owner a Texan oil magnate, has invested heavily and the new management team are doing an good job
the island I am surprised to say actually runs and looks the better than we have seen it in all of our visits.
We were very happy with the look of our cottage
Having a king bed instead of two smaller beds was a relief and the removal of the noisy window shutters a blessing we could actually get through the entire night without being woken up by the clacking
the food at PSV has always been erratic however this trip we could not fault any of the meals, the chef is using more modern dishes compared to the older heavy cream based varieties that were the norm in the past years, a very balanced menu of fish and meat and all were cooked very well
The new beach restaurant was a nice addition my wife ate lobster nearly every day from the fresh pool they have
The service is very attentive but not over the top a very professional balance
All in all, if the new owner keeps the island and the managers carry on doing what ever they are doing we will continue to return as often as our bank account will allow
Well done
