The original Eastwood Hall is a beautiful period building with history of association to lady Chatterley. There is a huge extension behind it and that is where we stayed. The extension is very tastefully done and incorporates most of the bedrooms, function suites, bar and restaurant. Arriving there on the Friday evening we settled outside of hte bar for a couple of pints before dinner. There were two wedding parties and it was great to see all of the kids dressed up to the nines and roling down the hill - and playing in the mud. The hotel is in a very pleasant rural setting. For those with small childres there is an unfenced pond. The food was really nice, the service was excellent. The staff were very professional and welcoming. The bedroom was clean and quiet (despite the wedding parties!). It is also a great setting for exploring the fantastic Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire countryside.

Room Tip: Upgrading of rooms is available for £14 per night , but the basic room is well decorated and has everything you could need.

    Dear iris b,
Thank you for your feed back. I am glad that you found the hotel pleasant and that your dining expirience was good with the service excellent. The hotel does have 26 acres of grounds and is located on the Derbyshire/ Nottinghamshire borders where you can explore both counties.
    Kind Regards

This hotel did exactly what they said, a beautiful place in beautiful surroundings. On arrival the receptionist was extremely welcoming and our room was lovely with lots of space, including a settee in the room. On the first evening of our two night stay a dog unfortunately could be heard barking down the corridor. This was not at all the hotels fault but when reported to the receptionist, Anthony, he did everything he could, giving us a room change and sending someone to check on the dog. I would recommend this hotel as the facilities were lovely, staff were friendly and it is in a great location for exploring Derbyshire. Would definitely return for another visit.

All the facilities were outstanding, with the pool and hot tub a specially welcome delight. A good breakfast, really warm and comfortable room. Eastwood ideally places for visiting Nottingham and to the north, the Peak District.

this hotel is set in a beautiful location. on arrival we were greeted by friendly, welcoming staff. really fast check in and were given lots of helpful tips for our stay. on arrival at our room 151 the key we had didn't work. the maintance man was in the hallway and gave us a hand, he let us in our room and said he would call down to reception and get them to cut another key. by the time we put our bags down in the room we had a knock at the door. a lady arrived to cut the key. we were very shocked as to how quick she came. very impressed. bed was very comfy slept really well, the room had thick curtains to block the early morning light out which was good. breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and plenty of everything, replenished regularly and very efficient helpful staff. the lady at the stand on the way into the breakfast room was very friendly and asked us on both mornings if we had slept ok.
leisure facilities were good, used the tennis court, jacuzzi, swimming pool and games room.
only down side that some of the chess pieces in the games room had broken and ideally the cloth on the snooker table needed replacing soon. the room had a big back telly which we didn't use but seemed a shame as every other hotel i have stayed in had a flat screen telly. good bus route into nottingham runs until 11.30 and later on friday and saturday. nice new weatherspoons in eastwood not to far from the hotel, pub is called The Lady Chatterley.

to sum it all up, lovely hotel, friendly staff, and would definately recommend, will be booking to stay here again in august.

pros; beautiful grounds, staff fantastic and couldn't do enough, food was really nice, price from groupon £79 room, dinner, breakfast and £20 for drinks in the bar. superb value.

cons; the real shame was the room stained bed, old tv no freeview and terrible reception and at 0830 they wanted to clean our room.
