My family and I spent 2 weeks in the area near Comares and tried El Molino one evening. We were so impressed with the food, the surroundings and the service that we returned for two more dinners. The restaurant is in an old olive mill which has been artfully remodeled into this fine restaurant (and hotel). Much of the original mill equipment, press and storage wells are still in place to be marveled at. Even the original steam engine which powered the mill can be seen, along with the replacement electric motor which is itself very old. The tables are tastefully placed throughout the mill, and there is a warm and comfortable sitting area by the fireplace. The view is spectacular.

We tasted many of the offerings and found all to be exceptional. Try the oxtail -- you will enjoy it. There is also a reasonably good wine list with many local Spanish wines being offered.

Four of us had Sunday lunch here - it will be a firm favourite for sure! The chivo al ajillo was gorgeous, the venue really lovely, the staff exceptionally friendly and warm (though it probably helps if you can speak a little Spanish), and the final bill for four of us, with all the usual olives and bread, two bottles of wine, starters, main courses and puddings, plus coffee (which we took outside, admiring the amazing views), was just over 26€ a head. Very authentic Spanish food, perfect portions, and just the nicest place we have eaten in, in this part of the world.

A bit tucked away at the plaza in Comsres there's a very fine hidden treasure: Molin de los Abuelos.
Grest ambiance, great food & drinks, terrific service and an amazing scenary and views. If it is possible you should try to eat outside and enjoy the sun :)
The food is simply delightfull and the portions are perfect. My wife to be and I could not have wished for a more suitable last day here in Andalucia!

We visited this beautiful restaurant in Comares and we were more than surprised with the excellent service and food.
I recommend you to have the chivo al ajillo and rabo de toro!
Wine recommendations are excellent too.
