Staff is so friendly that you sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable about it but that's hardly something you can blame them for. Breakfast is served on 25th floor with stunning view over Osaka, you can either choose continental or japanese option, we only had the continental which was ok. The room in general would need an upgrade to earn the fifth star, everything was a bit worn off and bathroom even a bit dirty. The room was rather large so with a bit of renovation It would be perfect

Hankyu may not be a known hotel chain but it you can literally check off the boxes you look for a hotel. Great location, check, clean and comfortable room, check, professional staff and services, check. It is walking distance to the main stations (Umeda or JR Osaka), and surrounded by restaurants and stores. The room interior is on the luxurious side with neutral colors. Once you stay at this hotel, they will remember you and your preference, and staff are very professional. Great tempanyaki restaurant that serves the best garlic rice ... but it is on the expensive side.

Room Tip: Avoid near the elevator, can be noisy. If you don't like your room, you can always request for another, if it is not a busy season.

The room is smelly, and also has very annoying low-frequency noise made you not able to sleep. After complaining to the hotel, I just got a downgraded room without any compensation. Is that an a punishment?? Was that was my fault because I couldn't sleep in a room with noises, so I was deserved to be downgraded ?? Anyway, I won't be there again.

Very nice hotel. From the moment you arrive and are greeted by the impeccably dressed doorman you know the experience the hotel intends to provide.
The staff was fantastic. We had a room on the 32nd Floor. It was an end room so we had a beautiful corner window set up. The view is definitely the highlight. You can see for miles past the Yodo River.

The room was spacious with a cool little hidden control panel that flipped out of the nightstand. The panel controlled all the lights and the curtains. One tip if you have a 3 pronged plug for any of your electronics you will need an adapter. We were able to find a hack by using the extension cord that came with the iron. The outlet on the cord was slim enough that the ground from the plug could slip underneath it. Bathroom was huge, with the fog proof mirror which I’m a fan of.

We did the American and the traditional Japanese breakfast during our stay. You can’t really go wrong with either because it’s a lot of food. If I had to choose one, I’d lean toward the Japanese breakfast.
Hotel is well situated. Quick cab ride to Shin Osaka station and the Shinkansen. There is also essentially a shopping center literally right next to the hotel with tons of restaurants and shops.

My only complaint, (and the reason I couldn't give a 5) is the fitness center, or rather the lack there of. We were told it opened at 7:30AM. Went down to check and the entire place was dark. Went to the front desk to inquire some more and was told that you had to have a membership, ($32 USD per month, to use. Not completely unreasonable if we were there for a longer stay, but didn’t make sense for our two night stay and again never actually saw the gym open.

Completely see why the hotel got an Excellence Award. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent localisation, can't find better. So many shops and restaurants I like and easy to join to 2 subway lines.

Les personnels are very friendly and willing to help whatever our questions. As the hotel is above 27 floors, whatever your room, perfect view on Osaka and mountain nearby. In the room, equipments are good quality and modern. Tea and coffee for free in the room are really good quality. Hotel's TV has lots of internal channels and films (even for adults). Toilette products are quite good.

Aeroport bus is very convenient and not expensive.

Deception for the pool, should pay for it as a hotel guest. So we don't go, neither the spa.

Room Tip: We have chosen standard room, it's definitely small. Next time we choose bigger.
