Top start on a high note, the view from my room was spectacular. However, as with most hotels in Japan, if you're looking for a hotel to do much more than be a place to sleep, you'll be disappointed. As such it is a very comfortable place. It FEELS nice and the amenities included in your room are much better than a budget hotel. Two bottles of crystal geyser water (Free), plus any of the disposable amenities you could need such as razors, shower caps, etc. Are all there. The bed was comfortable, the carpet was thick, and the towels were soft.
Having said all that, one quirk is the shape of the rooms. Because the building is cylindrical the rooms are wedge shaped; narrow at the door and wider by the bed.
The breakfast was buffet style and was decent. They had both Japanese breakfast foods as well as western but overall it was average. I would skip the breakfast next time and head across the street to Tully's.
The staff was very friendly and made me feel like a guest and not just someone they were taking money from.
Overall I would stay here again.More
