I know you expect to be a bit cramped in Japan, but our room for three left virtually no room to move - a third twin bed forced into a two-bed size room - and a great shortage of space for hanging clothes.
Having said that, the beds were comfortable (apart from very hard pillows!) and everything was nicely appointed. You pay up-front, water is provided in the little fridge but is inclusive, along with a rather mean selection of tea and coffee bags. If you want TV movies you have to purchase a card. The shower was splendid, and there is a little built-in washing line over the bath that was useful! Plentiful toiletries in individual sizes, including nice Shiseido face lotion and cleanser sachets, and scented bath salt discs. Again, as seems to be the norm in Japanese hotels, there is nowhere to drape your damp towels.
Easy walking distance to wonderful shopping opportunities, and the lobby staff are helpful and friendly. It can be hard to hail a taxi outside the hotel, they all seem to go off to queue on ranks, so get the staff to call one for you if you need one.More
