First time to Tokyo

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 30 May 2019
The start of my multi centre trip in Japan and started off with Shinjuku Tokyo. The hotel is literally only 3 mins walk from Shinjuku JR Station. Was a bit strange as the hotel is on top of offices but the lift takes you staright there and with a glass window you get some great views of Tokyo! The reception staff were pleasant, polite, helpful and spoke excellent English. The room was great and with full bathroom facilities (bath and overhead shower). At night you get get great views of Shinjuku lit up and you can see the famous Skytree too. Hotel was very clean and the breakfasts (buffet style) very tasty indeed. A great start to my trip!

My scenic king room is very spacious with awesome view. Bed is comfy but pillow is too soft. Location is unbeatable, only 2 mins walk to NEX station near the new south exit. Many good restaurants and shops around.

Room tip: all rooms has good view as the hotel is on 20th floor and up

It was a great stay as always. This is probably my 7th time staying at this hotel, I noticed that they updated the shower head, which is great, the water stream is more powerful now.

No complain, always a pleasant to stay at this hotel!

Wish there is a membership program, so I can collect points for every time I stay.

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

The 'Friendly Limousine Service' Bus from Narita Airport takes you right to the door of this excellent hotel. Then a speedy lift carries you up to Reception on the 20th Floor, where a very courteous staff quickly and efficiently checks you into your room. We found the rooms very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed and good views over Shinjuku. We found Hotel Staff always friendly, helpful and willing to please. We had no language problems. We found the Breakfast Restaurant excellent, with a huge choice of food from traditional Japanese to Continental and Big American-style. The chefs also manned an Omelette Bar where they make you any style of Omelette (plain, with spinach, with ham, with cheese, with mushroon, etc) on request. And they had fruit and yoghurt, and lots of tea, coffee (even Cappucino) and fruit drinks. and one area with lots of pastries! Breakfast is a feast. And I note the windows on one side of this restaurant have views of Mt Fuji on a clear day! The Century Southern Tower is also just a two-minute walk to Shinjuku Eki (Train Station) and minutes away from Shinjuku shops and restaurants. So everything is close and convenient. We liked this hotel so much we are returning there next week, and we have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants comfort, courtesy and convenience when visiting Tokyo.

Room tip: We had a room on the 24th Floor, and then on the 34th Floor, and both had good views.

After in depth researching the best place for my holiday in Tokyo, I decided on Century and couldn’t be happier. The location is super convenient to everything you could want to buy, eat or do & across the road from a train station that links to everywhere. The hotel looks & feels brand new, no musty stale smells, the room was comfortable, well equipped, lovely toiletries topped up daily and the pillows were heavenly. I meant to grab the details from the label but forgot, will email the hotel to ask where I can purchase some.
Had a walk around and a look at the two other hotels I was considering and so relieved I chose Century. Hotel staff very helpful and attentive. I hope to return for cherry blossom season in the coming year or two.

comfy bed, nice bathroom, friendly staff, great view, fantastic location for exploring Tokyo with ease. I thought the laundry service was a bit expensive but when my old ass clothes came back looking (and smelling) brand new I couldn't complain! I'm honestly so impressed with how well they washed my clothes, like I didn't even know this was possible. Everything looked and wore like it was fresh out of a store, absolutely bonkers.
