“Yet another amazing holiday!!!!”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

My husband and I visited bella View for the third year, and we were certainly not disappointed. The management remembered us as did the staff!! The chef is the same as when we first visited and he has just got better and better his food is amazing. Admittedly the two choices do not appear to be very much, but in 14days we did not have the same meal twice. I have food allergies and the chef did more than most English restaurants to accommodate my diet. The cleanliness of the hotel is second to none. There was no time when we were disappointed - we want to return next year!!! The wine is great and very reasonably priced as are the other bar drinks. Emrah will always go out of his way to help if you need anything, for taxis to car rental to fishing trips etc!!!!

Excellent Staff, friendly, efficient and ready to please, restaurant menu limited but overall food was good, poolside service first class, not for the person who wants a classic towny nightlife, just peace, tranquility and a quiet stay. Lovely place and will come again

The Bella View is a very clean, comfortable hotel situated in a peaceful area below Bellapais village. All staff are courteous and friendly. The location is actually quite isolated and a hire car would be an advantage as there is little opportunity to explore on foot. Restaurants in Bellapais will collect you from the hotel and take you back which is very good!!
My only criticism is the lack of organisation and coordination during the breakfast service. No one seemed to be in control of the situation resulting in tables being left uncleared, food running out, orders being taken some days and not others. The breakfast food was good and plentiful but lacked variety.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend highly.

We booked this hotel via Mercury Direct and stayed for 2 weeks on a half board basis.
The hotel benefits from being independently run and must have previously been a country house. The owner was in the hotel almost every day and for most of it and it was good to see him taking such an interest.
We had a room on the first floor overlooking the pool and beyond down to Kyrenia. We liked the fact that it faced north as it meant that we could sit on our balcony at any time of the day and be in the shade, which was particularly important in the high summer. The air conditioner in the room was excellent and fully controllable. The bed was basically two singles pushed together which was fine. It took 2 or 3 nights to get used to the fact that it was so firm. It was comforting to have a room safe which was easy to use. The only disappointment with the room was the fact that the shower and bathroom needed to be updated.
As we were on half-board, we were ate dinner from a set menu which consisted of a choice of two starters and two main courses. There was also a dessert and Turkish coffee was normally served without charge; we were surprised by how much we enjoyed this. We liked to eat outside so needed to get down to dinner reasonably promptly in order to get a table. The variety of food was good and in general, the standard of cooking was excellent. Wine was relatively expensive and it was a shame that beer was served from 33cl bottles rather than 50cl which was served at most establishments.
The pool was brilliant; an ideal depth and size; comfortable sun beds are provided around the pool and there are sofas and arm chairs provided in the area away from the pool which were great to relax in before dinner.
However the absolute highlight of the hotel is the brilliant staff who cannot do enough for you. They really made the holiday and were determined to give you the very best holiday experience possible.
We shall return!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool on the first floor are cooler and have great views over Kyrenia to the se...

The staff were very pleasant, so attentive and couldn't do enough for you. The Hotel was quiet and so relaxing, very clean and reasonable. Free shuttle into Kyrenia every day. On our last day at the Hotel we booked to go there again next year, that is how good the Hotel is. Car is essential if you like to explore, but taxis are very reasonable.

Room Tip: One by the pool was best for us

a really well run quiet haven .yes you need a car but that applies to most hotels in northern cyprus. the staff are outstanding. we have been to the north many times and cannot believe we have overlooked this gem of a hotel. it is so peaceful and relaxing. we cannot speak more highly of the staff who were all helpful but unobtrusive.

Room Tip: rooms on pool side have best views

We booked this hotel after searching Late-rooms. We got a good price for 4 nights stay. The hotel was situated out of the main area and port of Kyrenia. You really need a car or use a taxis to get out and about, that said the hotel offer a shuttle service once a day to and from the port. I think it was from about 1030 ish to 1500 ish. All well and good, if you don't want to explore the town at night.

Breakfast was served from 0800 to 1030. If you went down late then there was only the remnants left. So breakfast of cereals, toast, fruit and some cold meat, cheese and small bits of salad. The hot plate consisted of scrambled eggs, tinned mushrooms and tomatoes fried and chips, with grilled cold halloumi cheese. Adequate, but very basic and the same, day after day.

Lunch and a set dinner menu was offered. We partook of the lunch menu twice in our stay. The grilled chicken salad, and a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Both very nice.

The room was a tad old fashion in decor, with furniture dating from a much earlier time period. The bathroom was small, but functional. Would not have wanted to be a large or older person with restricted mobility as the corner shower had very small opening and would have been a challenge to get into and out of. The bed was constructed of two singles pushed together, with the usual resulting hard line and gap, not very romantic or good to sleep on. Sheets and bed cover lovely and clean. Tea and coffee provided, also a mini bar, at cost. A point to note all outside food and drink is banned. Anything in the fridge not from the hotel would be removed, that said our bottle of water for hot drinks was left alone. Lovely situation of the room overlooking the pool. With access to a balcony that had chairs and a table to enjoy the weather.

The pool and outdoor area was very nice. The pool beautifully clean and clear, lots of chairs and loungers available to use around the terrace. And a bar service too.

Lovely, quite and relaxing hotel away from the main hub of town. Could do with a bit of a make over to give the place a bit more sophistication and class, less clutter/furniture in the main dining/lounge area would help. Breakfast choice could do with some attention.

Overall a very enjoyable stay.
