I stayed at the Bella View Hotel for a week with my mum. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room had a large terrace and overlooked the pool side. It was spacious and immaculately clean. We stayed on a half board basis and every meal we had was delicious. Bella View has a relaxing atmosphere and is the perfect place to relax. It is within easy reach of Kyrenia and the village of Bellapais - both are worth a visit. I hope to go back to Bella View soon.

We booked into this hotel for one night and accepted the last available room, which was in the basement and therefore very dull, but on first appearances it seemed ok and we paid by credit card. We wandered around the village and then returned to the hotel and discovered that there was no safe and wifi could not be accessed in the room - both were stated they were available in the information provided. We accepted this, however when it was time to use the shower, it was obvious this did not function correctly as the head could not be attached to the wall. We explained the situation to the management and asked if another room had become available. When they said no we asked for a refund of our money as we had not used any of the facilities and we would check out, whereupon they refused any possibility of a refund. We decided to check out immediately and returned to the Greek side of Cyprus and vowed never to cross the border again.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff, quiet and plenty of room round the pool. food was quite good but better option is eating out as there are many great restaurants in the area. twenty minute walk up into Bellapais village, well illuminated at night. Our only real complaint was we were put into room 109 on arrival and this small claustophobic room was unacceptable. Fortunately we were moved the next day into a mountain view room which was much better, more spacious and with lovely views. Overall it was a very pleasant hotel, which we would visit again as long as we could be assured we would definately not be in rooms 109,110,111.

Room Tip: Mountain view rooms for sunny balcony, Sea view for shade.

I find it very difficult to be negative about the Bella View Hotel. It has to be one of the cleanest friendliest hotels we have visited, all the staff were cheerful and happy to help and the room was cleaned to a high standard with fresh towels every day.We stayed on a bed & breakfast option and found the choice perfectly adequate, scrambled egg, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, potatoes and the usual ham cheese olives etc. We had an evening meal on a couple of occasions which was ok without being too exciting but at 45TL for 3 courses wasn`t bad value. The overall theme of the Hotel was intimate English Country House, regency style wallpaper, brass sockets and heavily framed pictures, not to everyone's taste but executed to a high standard never the less.
The Hotel offers a courtesy bus service to Girne 6 days a week but car hire is the best option for Northern Cyprus, we did however walk to Bellapais and back a couple of times which is a 30 minute walk up a steep hill.
I would have no hesitation in recommending The Bella View as a comfortable base for exploring or as a do nothing chillout break, we would certainly return.

Room Tip: We asked for and got a pool side room, 102. We would probably have preferred a mountain view room on a higher floor which gets more sun.

We have just returned from the Bella view hotel.1st visit to N Cyprus. It certainly is not 5 star as billed, but a small very friendly hotel which was spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpfull nothing to much trouble. We were in room 107 the bedroom was very dark a small courtyard outside a solid stone wall for a view.Ask for a room overlooking pool. We were bed and breakfast which was ok.You do need a car as you are 3 miles out of the centre. Only £4 in a taxi.Where you are spoilt for choice for food options. Niazzi's restaurant very good.We had car for 3 days ( British rent a car) £23 per day . The drive out to the Karpaz penninsula, was well worth the 3 hour drive, and sit on golden beach for a couple on hours, virtually deserted. 2 good restaurants as well for lunch. We also went on a boat trip for the day ( The Blue Bird ) 2 stops for swimming and a very good lunch, fish, Chicken, and Meze. 40 TL each. vV good value
booze was extra but reasonably priced. We strolled down to the harbour and booked on the day, rather than book it thro hotel. All boats go out at 10.30 back at 16.30. Salamis and Famagusta also worth a visit. All in all a very enjoyable week

Room Tip: Go for pool view or 1st floor for better views
