We had a lovely weekend stay at The Bark House. The hotel has a delightful old world charm and our room was immaculately clean. Although the hotel is on a busy road it is not at all noisy at night - we slept with our windows open and didn't hear any traffic at all. We were delighted to be invited to join in the quiz night. Gina, Barbara, Rick and the family friend and gardener really made us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious and so was our evening meal. We hope to stay again sometime.

Room Tip: All rooms are on the 1st floor.

Spent 2 nights at The Bark House. A lovely place to get around from. Comfy room with everything you need. Rick Ginny & Barbara were so lovely. Very helpful with information on where to eat & visit. They have a very friendly cat. Breakfast was good. Cereals, fruit, toast, tea/coffee. You order what you want & it's cooked fresh. Didn't have dinner there. It's about 15 mins from Tiverton which has some older type shops & the river. Not much else though. About 5 mins away is Knightshays House. National Trust house & grounds. Worth a visit. The Bridge Inn was good for meals but does get very busy. About 10mins away.
We would definatly go back again to Bark House. Thank you all for a lovely few days.

We chose this b & b for a two nights away stay, we really could have stayed longer, it is fantastic.

Rick, Gina and Barbara make you feel so welcome, it’s like being part of the family.

The setting is great, just across from the cottage is a lovely orchard where you can while away the day or evening with a glass or two of whatever takes your fancy, you can hear the weir which makes it feel nice and tranquil.

The road might be fairly busy during the day but at night it’s very quite.

The food is all freshly cooked to order and pre ordering dinner ensures fresh produce.

Breakfast sets you up for the day, ready to explore the lovely villages near by.

We had a great time chatting to Rick and his neighbours sitting outside having drinks on one of the evenings.

We’re now looking forward to going back later in the summer.

We didn’t sample the cream teas but if everything else is to go by they will great.

We stayed in Room 1, beautiful bay window seat looking out over the orchard and rhododendrons buzzing with honey bees, what more could you wish for?

Recently enjoyed a lovely short break at the Bark House. The owners were so friendly and helpful, the food delicious and all in all a beautiful place to stay. Plenty to do in the area - we visited Arlington Court, Linton and Lynmouth and spent the last day at Exeter shopping. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
