Just returned from a lovely bank holiday in North Devon staying with Elaine & Jim at their lovely farm. What a find, having driven around for sometime and finding everyone full, having not booked anywhere, when the lady at The Exeter Inn gave Elaine a ring and luckily for us she had a spare double. Lucky us. What a welcome, it was as if we had known them for years. Pretty room with all the comforts that anyone could wish for and what a breakfast, set us up for the day and only needed a small meal late in the evening. Cant wait to have another free weekend so we can go back, but this time we will book to make sure we can stay.

We've just returned from a lovely couple of days spent around Tiverton. The weather was fantastic as was the accommodation! Elaine & Jim are a great friendly couple, we found we had a lot in common and could have spent hours in their company! The farm, house, rooms and breakfast were exceptional........I am so pleased to have found this gem online! Thank you both!

We had a very nice stay, helpfull and friendly hosts.
Great breakfast. Plenty of information when needed.
And all the extras, such as magazines, toiletries, dvd- player , radio, flatscreen, wifi, and a safe. Etc. Great things to have. Lovely surroundings, we were lucky enough to walk around the woods to the lake , where the bluebells where full in bloom. So not only a nice b.b, but also very nice surroundings.

Thank-you for your wonderful review. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and the English weather, being out of character, helped tremendously. Elaine.

Greeted warmly and with just enough information. Had my bags carried for me! Lovely comfortable, spacious and clean room with loads of things- tv, DVD player, magazines, radio, iPod dock and alarm, toiletries, lovely towels, extra pillows and blankets, fresh milk in a fridge stocked with extra goodies to tempt (that were in no way overpriced!) really good shower too. Lovely host Elaine asked me when I wanted my breakfast, and made me feel really welcome. Breakfast was super tasty- the bestest and freshest eggs I have had in years...really tasty bacon, and in no way greasy...loads of cereal, yogurts, fresh fruit, juices, toast, selection of jams...I could move in!!
Thank you so much for making it the best B and B experience I have ever had...and I have stayed in a LOT! I even bought some fresh eggs to have at home Xx

I have stayed at Lodfin twice now and have yet to find any fault with it. Jim and Elaine are the consummate hosts in their beautiful farmhouse which is made irrestistably welcoming. Room four (both stays) is comfortably furnished, warm, with lovely views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. The room is supplied with a mini bar at very reasonable prices, coffee, a great choice of teas and hot chocolate - nice to have the choice. Our room was impeccably clean and fresh, with all shower and toiletry requirements provided - good quality as well , not the watery rubbish you normally get. There are all sorts of lovely attentions to detail and dare I say it, good quality loo roll. Sorry, but cheap loo roll is one of my pet hates !
The breakfast is enough to challenge even the heartiest eater, with great choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and the good old full English, all cooked by Elaine's own fair hand.
overall I could not have been more happy with my stay there and look forward to returning in the future.

We had a fabulous time at Lodfin farm! Elaine, Jim & their adorable son, Josh made our stay a delight! We were traveling with our seven month old daughter and they could't have been any more helpful & accommodating. Our room was spacious with a gorgeous view and also had a wonderful spiral staircase leading to a powder room and a lovely shower. The farm itself is quaint and beautiful and everything you'd imagine the English countryside to be! The breakfast was delicious and again with a beautiful view of horses running in the green fields! Lodfin Farm is an excellent Bed & Breakfast and we look forward to staying there again!

We spent two nights at Lodfin Farm which is an impressive farmhouse in the Devon countryside. The house is very clean and has impressive decorative features from its farming history, the bedroom was spacious with a good ensuite. The owners were very flexible and made breakfast when we wanted it, they were also a really lovely and friendly family who made us feel extremely welcome. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it!
