Description: Bridge House is a relaxed, friendly restaurant run by the owners Nigel & Caroline serving British dishes using local, fresh & seasonal produce with the menu changing frequently. All the food is freshly prepared in our kitchen. Come in for breakfast, a coffee & cake, a "bite to eat", a glass of wine or beer or a full 3 course lunch . At the weekends we are open all day serving "Brunch" & lunch or enjoy a coffee & a cake. On Sunday we serve a traditional Sunday roast lunch. Seating available in our lovely walled garden. Newly refurbished guest rooms.

Great garden location. Friendly service and a different menu to the others on offer locally with an English twist. Nicely appointed inside

We visited for a celebration lunch and Bridge House was just right. Locally sourced ingredients were cooked to perfection. The menu is short but very interesting and changes regularly, using whatever is in season. The atmosphere is relaxed but the cooking, the service and the beautifully refurbished premises all indicate great attention to detail.
I was tempted to return later in the afternoon for a cream tea or maybe a slice of cake ( or maybe both!) We will definitely be back soon.

Went out with friends and we all appreciated the warm welcome and the excellent meals at a reasonable price. The menu was interesting and made a welcome change from the ubiquitous pub menus. Delicious home cooked food with home made bread. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely come here again. This is a new venture and I do hope it has the success it deserves.

The restaurant has recently changed ownership and has been completely refurbished. Caroline and Nigel, the new owners, are passionate about locally sourced food and everything is prepared on the premises. The menu is limited because it changes on a regular basis. The potted beef, smoked mackerel and potato & leek soup starters were all excellent. Moving on to the main course we tried the cheese tart and the chicken. Again, everything was well cooked and the service was great. We also tried the local Yearlstone number 4 wine - a great recommendation. All this quality was surprisingly very reasonably priced. Definitely worth another visit when the menu changes again.

We visited this new restaurant in Bampton on Friday night, and were so impressed by everything they had to offer. The food is locally sourced and homemade which is a real breath of fresh air; we highly recommend the local wine too! The menu is fresh and seasonal and the owners told us it changes pretty much on a weekly basis, which seems to be quite rare for a restaurant nowadays, and really reflects their ethos. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.
