My boyfriend and I have just arrived back from a lovely weekend in Lulworth. Bishops cottage is a hidden gem, cosy, warm and welcoming. Our room (the Bar room) was large yet cosy, perfect to retreat to after a cold wind swept swim... Especially the amazing bath and shower with epic water pressure. Breakfast was the best we had ever had, fresh fruit and bread... And the eggs Benedict, truly scrumptious. The cove itself is a magical place to stay and we will be returning to bishops cottage and the cove very soon.

Room Tip: The bar room has lovely views over the hills

Situated on the door step of Lulworth Cove, an excellent location for the cove and costal paths. We stayed in the very spacious Study Room which consisted of a large bedroom with a very comfy bed, a good sized lounge and a huge ensuite bathroom. It was the perfect location for a chilled and relaxed getaway. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options on offer. We were warmly welcomed by the lovely Arriana and later met our hosts Phillip and Rim who made us most welcome. Will certainly be returning - thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Spent two nights here, literally a stones throw from the Cove. Ideally situated.
Rooms were spacious, clean & comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic & they appeared to be happy to cater for all requests.
The service from Tim, Philip & the team was exceptional, nothing was too much for them. Very friendly & happy to help.
Parking may be an issue for those with difficulty to walk as you need to park in the Heritage Centre car park, about 200m away however with advance warning, I am sure provisions can be made but ask!
We enjoyed a couple of very quiet, enjoyable nights however they do host Weddings etc. so check in advance if you want total tranquility!

Room Tip: Cove Room is where we stayed & plenty of room.

Your comments re wedding parties are noted. We seem to have had something of a run of such weekends this summer but not any in the diary going forward although who knows next summer.

Staying in the cove for a few days, went to view menu as we were hoping to dine to tonight - Monday night, a very agressive gentleman appeared as we were looking at the menu near the entrance, he said they were closed and had a private function this evening and basically bugger off, very hostile and unfriendly would not go back when open.

Room Tip: Check that hotel is open and serving, if not need to put a board up saying closed??

Your powers must be one of a super hero to be able to review a hotel from the gate because you where not let into someones wedding. To be able to judge sleep quality and how clean the rooms are is amazing from the gate. Yet again you show just how informed and useful tripadvisor really is . To re cap it was someones wedding. Their special day. The gates where closed. The signs where up. I know it must be frustrating for you not to be able to read or get what you want and therefore revert to webites where you do not have to leave your name to excise that frustration. However I say again ......it was someones wedding....

We spent 2 glorious days last week at Bishops, which is located as close to the Cove as you can get. We had chosen the Cove room for its views across the Cove and weren't disappointed, it was spacious with a lovely bathroom, although have to say the sink was far too small.
Philip and Tim were great hosts and agreed that I could park my classic MG outside the front of the hotel.
We took dinner both evenings in the restaurant our waitress Arianna was extremely pleasant and helpful.
This hotel enjoys a fabulous location with great views over the Cove and surrounding hills.
