Exactly what we were looking for. £20 for a family of 4 so it's not going to break the bank. Speeding across the waves was fun for the kids, the scenery was stunning obviously. Quick turn around for photos at Durdle Door and back for ice cream. Sorted. Queuing was a little chaotic, can't imagine that would be fun at the height of season, and it would have been nice to hear a little explanation of 'how and why' it came to be, but for the money it was superb!

We took the boat for a 1.5hr private charter along the Jurassic coast and it was brilliant to see the coastline from a different perspective. Our captain was experienced and knew a lot about the sights along the coast. The RIB boat goes very fast on the water, which certainly got our adrenaline pumping as we bounced along the sea. The private charter boat is smaller than the one they use for the 15min trips to durdle door, which meant we were allowed a real treat to actually go through durdle door, something not many people get to do. We were able to choose where we wanted to go along the coast (within reason) and we stopped at several places to take in the sights. I would thoroughly recommend this trip – a group of us did this on a weekend away and it was one of the highlights of our trip!

Really great experience and stunning view! Unfortunately the ride is only 15min, but it is worth it! So much great emotions and feeling of speed. Great experience! Thank you Lulworth RIB rides! :)

Not a lot to say on this, apart from brilliant, the lady & guy who drive the boat were very friendly & helpful. Its a great way to see the Jurassic coastline & Durdle Door from the sea. Enjoyed the boat trip very much, definitely the highlight of our holiday :-)

The boat trip itself was a real highlight of our holiday - fast and furious and it felt genuinely exciting speeding over the sea towards Durdle Door. However when we got there the boat didn't even slow down, it just turned around at speed and came straight back, leaving those who were expecting to look at Durdle Door disappointed.

I've seen the other reviews and the responses to them and I accept that a commentary is unrealistic, and that time is limited, but I imagine lots of people go on the trip to take photos of Durdle Door from the sea and unless you've got your camera ready and set on a fast shutter speed this really isn't going to happen. Surely a 10-15 second slow down would be possible?

Hi Jim, glad you enjoyed the boat ride and I thought you may appreciate a response...

We really wish it was possible to offer more time at Durdle Door but the boat weighs over 3 tonnes and it takes a lot to get her up on the plane (out of the water and travelling economically.) If we were to slow down and come off the plane twice every 15/20mins it would use more fuel and cause additional stress and wear on the engine and therfore more fuel and maintenance costs. We have spoke to our mechanic again about this and he strongly advises staying on the plane when possible. I hope this offers some explanation and again it's all about keeping the boat ride affordable for everyone.
