Owner description: A challenging walk along the South West Coast Path. It is a switchback up and down four hills before returning along a relatively level ridge. It offers great photo opportunities passing some of the geological highlights of the Jurassic Coast. In late Spring and early summer the limestone grassland beside the path is full of rare flowers and clouds of butterflies.

This is a beautiful place for the outdoor lover, great scenery. The services are good with a problem: the parking. Of course it's quite expensive, but you already know this, and you have to leave early because the gate will close at 10pm. Doesn't seem early, but when the sunset is at 9:40 (and June, early July) you are going to miss part of the sunset because of that. Park along the street instead.

Absolutely beauty! The view from the top of the cliffs is amazing -- pictures do not do it justice! The wind was a bit chilly. The hike down is ok, but the climb back up... whew... my husband, me and my 5 year old had to stop several times to rest! The beach area is made up of pea gravel, not sand, so is difficult to walk on, but worth it.

The walk from Lulworth Cove to Durdle Doors is challenging unless you consider yourself fit. As long as you take your time this walk is possible for all abilities and it is well worth the effort. The views are out of this world,

We started at Durdle Door and walked the coast path to Lulworth. Very steep. Great views can be seen. We were surprised with the number if people at both places. Lulworth is a bit overrated. The walk back up the hill from Lulworth gets the calf muscles going.
