“Go truly prehistoric in this landscape!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2013

An energetic walk from the car park in West Lulworth that is very much worth it as you will see a truly beautiful bit of the coastline. Many facilities in West Lulworth and a coffee bar on the trail down to Durdle Door. See the Door before it falls into the sea!

“Tuesday's trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013 via mobile

Earmarked this place to visit after watching Ben Fogle's TV programme on Dorset.

Enjoyed the yomp up over to Durdle Door especially the scenery and the different shades of blue of the sea.

There can be no finer place to sit and eat a pasty than on Lulworth Cove's stony beach in the midday sun.

“Simply Stunning”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013

We had a lovely picnic on the pebbly beach at Lulworth Cove watching the sailing boats and sea kayaks come and go, and swam in the (warm!) sea. Then walked round to look at Durdle Door. Beautiful views on the way, easy to forget you're in England. Parking reasonably priced and covers you for both car parks at the cove and Durdle Door. Lovely ice cream shops at the cove for much needed refreshment. As others have said, walking to Durdle Door can be hard going but of you take a drink and don't rush it is fine. Views are gorgeous from the top so no need to climb right down. My 4, 7 and 9 year old were tired at the end but that is just what we intended!
