“What Luck!”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

I wanted 3 nights away to "chill out" with my daughter after she completed a hectic year of work and study. There seemed nowhere available near Lulworth Cove, her preferred destination. One other proprietor did us the best favour ever by suggesting we try this B&B. The location, 5 min from the cove, yet off the beaten track (literally......... you'll see if you go there!) is perfect; the house and rooms are perfect as is the food. Your hosts couldn't be nicer too............what more could you want?
Do try The Limestone for dinner as a treat (expensive but not dear!) and go to Moreton for a cream tea to die for!

The location is great - tucked away up a little lane, with ample parking, but only a few minutes walk from the bay with its paths and pubs.
John & Carole, who are both creative people when not attending to guests, could not be more welcoming or helpful. Whether it was advice on a pub or a restaurant, a walk or the best place for canoeing, their local knowledge is excellent.
The rooms are great - ours opened straight onto the terrace and a mass of plants. The room was (frankly) massive and well laid out with a comfortable bed, fleecy dressing-gowns, a nice bathroom and comfy chairs.
Breakfasts were great - excellently prepared and locally sourced, apart from a rose jam which their daughter had brought back from the Lebanon.
On top of this, they were also kind enough to post back to us an item that we had left there, and in my BB experience, that doesn't often happen.
Carole paints and John is a renowned garden designer - so conversation over breakfast was lively.
I hope this helps - it's the first time I've been moved to write a review. Book it and enjoy it -we did!

I stayed with a friend over the Easter weekend.
This is a friendly B&B with a personal touch. The hosts Carole and John are very thoughtful people with an excellent knowledge of the local area. They are very willing to help and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Excellent breakfast with a nice view of the surrounding countryside.
Our room was big, very clean and with a nice patio.
This is a great base for walks with breathtaking views of the coves and durdle door.

If you love the cove try this.
It's a hidden gem, beautiful people, best views and fab service.
This is a classic place in the countryside with simple walks to the beach and cliff tops. Great Art in the rooms and fab hosts and breakfast.

Thank you Carole and John for your hospitality, lovely accommodation and breakfast and great advice on local pubs and walks. The B&B is in an ideal location for spectacular walks from Lulworth cove and Durdle door along the southwest coastal path. We also enjoyed a great day out visiting Tyneham village and fossil hunting at Kimmeridge bay a short drive away. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at this contemporary B&B, which is full of style. The location was ideal for exploring Lulworth Cove and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Minutes walk from the local pub, it's tucked away up a quite private road and away from the main traffic through the village. The room was warm, light and full of personal touches. Carole and John did a great breakfast and made us feel welcome in their lovely Dorset home.
