does the job for a nights rest, but you would not want to stay here for very long as its a bit dreary

it is very run f the mile, there is a good pub near by to eat in, but the hotel does not provide food

Room Tip: the rear of the hotel avoids having a main road/motorway outside your room

Stayed in a family room with my husband & 2 daughters. Room was well appointed, bright & spotlessly clean with very comfy beds. It was a bit inconvenient that check in is strictly 3pm, when we arrived at 2.30pm, but the receptionist was very friendly & helpful (as were all the staff we met during our stay) & luckily there's a nice Starbucks next door which we went in for a coffee while we waited til 3pm.
This travelodge is one of the best we've stayed in & can definitely recommend it!

Nice, clean, quiet, only issue was couldn't check in before 3pm unless I paid an additional £10 when I arrived at 13:30pm otherwise well appointed and would stay again, but when arriving for a night shift locum shift, 3 pm does not allow sufficient preparation time before a shift

Having stayed at various travelogue around the country we booked this one for the night while having a couple of days away, first day at Chester zoo then a day in Chester. Had a £10 voucher so a room for £25 was good, was keen to see what the new style rooms were like, nicely decorated, but didn't really expect a pair of the previous occupants dirty socks under the bed !
Apart from this it was a good stay, comfortable bed & quiet room.

We spent one night here,it was extremely good, clean and quiet, basic but everything you need. There is a Starbucks next door for breakfast. The car park is not quite in front of the hotel but we didn't experience any problems.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4, with other family members. Our room cost £77 for two nights, absolute bargain. It was fine, can not expect anything else for the money. Quiet, nice staff and clean. We went to Chester zoo which isn't far.

Will definately be having a few more travelodge breaks in the future as the family rooms are great for us.

Only thing I can say is please keep this standard up!

As a business that travels all over the UK and uses many many hotels, Travelodge is always the first port of call for price. If we can, we tend to stay in the other large Hotel group because we find most Travelodges to be tired and not always that good (even for a business user where cost is always highest priority)
However, this Travelodge has just been refurbished to a very good standard. I will categorically say that if all the other Travelodge hotels were up to this fresh and new look standard, then we'd only ever use this hotel company. The Wirrel Travelodge is an absolute delight. Clean, fresh new painted walls, new 'better' colour schemes and happier staff. Plus the bonus of having a Starbucks right next door. I will be using this one again when we are in the area and I will be looking out for the 'Refurbished' Travelodges from now on. Outstanding work and about time.
PS
We never review any business we are not happy with as I feel it's not fair on the staff. Sometimes in life, peoples hands are tied. We find it fairer to not review within the public forum, but rather direct to the business owners.
