“Well done Travelodge”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

Just stayed at the Wirral Eastham Travelodge for the weekend and it was such a good experience. The rooms were of high standard, very clean, well maintained and comfortable. Check in and out was a breeze.
The team were professional and FRIENDLY and always on duty. They were attentive to who entered and left the hotel and would always acknowledge you or enter into conversation so you knew they were vigilant, a thing that is important to me when traveling with my young grandchildren. I would rate the experience at 10 out of 10. Well done to all of the team at Wirral Eastham Travelodge, thank you for a very pleasant weekend stay.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone looking to stay in the area.

We booked this hotel on the morning of staying there so it was all a bit rushed and last minute. We chose this hotel as it was close to Chester/Liverpool which is where we were going and it was a good price. The hotel is a bit depressing looking on arrival, not like other Travelodge's I have stayed in before. The room was ok, not much of a view but then you don't tend to get those in Travelodge's anyway. The room was clean and the double bed was comfortable. The small bed's for my children were hard and they complained they were uncomfortable. In my opinion the water was not hot enough in the bathroom. I told the receptionist who offered us another room but on looking the water was the same temperature so we just stayed in our original room. The receptionist told us that all the pipes/waterworks had been messed with since the refurb so maybe that was the reason. Don't get me wrong it wasn't cold but you didn't need to add any cold when you ran a bath which then meant after being in the bath for 5 minutes it was going cold. We ran out of tea, sugar and milk quickly but there was no problem getting anymore from the reception. It is very close to motorway and not far from Chester/Liverpool/Cheshire Oaks. It has free parking which is a bonus and there is a Starbucks on the car park. This is just a very basic small Travelodge. It did us for a 1 night stay but not sure I would stay for longer than this. Remember if you pay for wi-fi to check your emails for the code, we did not do this with booking last minute then struggled to get hold of code when we arrived as the receptionist could not give it us.

An amazing family room (Room 3) with 1 double and 2 singles with en suite bathroom, for £35/night was incredible. Room had no adjacent other hotel rooms above, below or to the sides. The 3 staff we saw over our 3 night stay were very helpful and chatty. Kids loved the stay in a hotel (ages 4 and 8). Excellent Bath with lots of fast flowing hot water. Definitely recommend Room 3 Wirral Eastham Travelodge.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful. When we needed to change from a double bed to two singles it appeared no trouble and was completed within a few minutes. Everyting was clean. Extra pillows were provided.

Stayed here for one night after a visit to Chester Zoo. Perfectly located for most of Chester's attractions including the zoo, Cheshire Oaks Shopping Outlet and Blue Planet Aquarium. There's a Starbucks next door, a Tesco Express and nice pub just up the road if you're after breakfast or food. Just been renovated so rooms have a very fresh feel. It is a very basic Travelodge though. Only one towel, no toiletries or hair dryer provided although the staff were very friendly so I'm sure they would soon sort this out. I arrived with a broken foot and the very friendly receptionist swapped our room for a ground floor one without us even asking!
Overall for the price (£32 per night) and location you can't go wrong.

A very comfortable & cheap stop over after visiting Anfield to watch a Liverpool game. Very helpful reception, easy to park, warm & clean room, with Starbucks next door for a quick breakfast in the morning.

Recently stayed at this Travelodge because it is convenient to reach both Chester and Liverpool from here. The bus stops are right outside the hotel and run every 10 minutes,or the train station is a mile away.
It has recently been refurbished and there is a nice pub half mile away called Chimneys serving nice food.
