Every Wednesday there seems to be a theme menu on our visit it was Thai. You could select of a three course menu including a glass of wine for £19.95. Or there was a choice from the main menu. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
I ordered from the main menu sticky sweet chilli and sea salt BBQ ribs as a starter. They duly arrived stacked on a round board with a dressed side salad. The portion size was very generous and they were delicious. For mains in keeping with the Thai theme I ordered pulled brisket wrapped in crispy crumb and served on a bed of onion rice and sweet chilli again very pleasant. The pub has recently undergone a complete transformation and the decor lends in nicely with the age and style of the building. If I have one concern it is the lack of lighting in the rear carpark, as the terrain is uneven with an incline with the nights drawing in it could result in a serious issue if not resolved. In Summary Food very good warm and welcoming service, lively atmosphere.
