“What a find!”
Reviewed 18 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We had a relaxing weekend here while visiting Burry Port for a family party. The cottage is furnished to a very high specification, but even more impressively, has literally everything a visitor could want/need. The views are amazing and even wet Burry weather couldn't dampen our enjoyment. Would be an amazing winter bolthole!

A fabulous location for a relaxing weekend break. Quiet and comfortable, the cottage has a wonderful view of the sea and a pretty little garden.

“Pulled out all the stops for our first trip with our baby”
Reviewed 8 September 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We couldn't have had a better experience at this beautiful cottage. Even before we arrived, Judith's communication to follow up the booking was superb. She checked the details of our plans and made sure we had all the information we might need to find the cottage and enjoy our stay. When she learned we were making (with a little trepidation) our first trip away from home with our 6 month old son, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, she really went beyond our expectations to help make it as easy as possible. Not only did she make sure there was a cot available, she also bought and set up a brand new high chair in the dining room and a play nest in the living room, plus set up a baby monitor and provided baby toiletries and bath toys for us too.

The cottage is elegant and very tastefully decorated with a pleasant, peaceful garden (full of busy bird feeders - great for spotting out of the living room windows!) and a stunning view out across Burry Inlet to the Gower. Our bedroom was very spacious and comfortable with a homely feel. The adjacent twin room with funky dragon bedside lamp served as a great temporary nursery just along the landing. The luxury bathroom with freestanding bath and separate shower was very welcome after a bracing walk on the coast.

There was a well equipped kitchen with every conceivable pot, pan and utensil and a toasty Aga (with clear instructions). There were also lovely treats on arrival and a few essentials in the fridge to make getting settled in even more straightforward.

We were really touched at all the little details that Judith had considered to make our first family mini-break extra special. These even extended to getting her husband to track down a lost pizza delivery man in his car when our takeaway got lost! This is a gem of a cottage tucked away in a gorgeous spot, but the owners' willingness to go the extra mile in every respect makes it a one-in-a-million spot for a relaxing escape. We will certainly be return visitors!

“Beautiful!”

A lovely cottage with fantastic views and a thoughtful owner who has put everything in the cottage that you could possibly need.
Great communication from Judy right from the initial email. We couldn't fault the cottage. If we ever go back to that area, we wouldn't hesitate in booking again.

“A perfect place to stay”
Reviewed 3 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

From the moment we booked the cottage Judy made sure everything was taken care of. The cottage is probably one of the best places I have ever rented, a real home away from home with everything you need for a self catering break. The view from the Terrace is amazing and being able to sit outside checking out the coastline was just perfect! There are lots of places within a short drive to enjoy, whether that is an ice cream at the beach, or places to walk, with lots of options to eat and drink.

“Fabulous cottage”
Reviewed 29 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This was our third visit to Margaret's cottage,as visited for the past three years.
We again took our bikes and had an amazing time, as not far to get on the cycle route in Burry Port & cycle along the coast and to Pembrey Park.
Again, Judith the owner didn't disappoint, as when we arrived there were clues for an Easter egg trail, which my daughter thought was fantastic.
This cottage does not disappoint. It has everything you could think of, just wish we could stay longer.
