Villa Bastide
Reviewed 8 October 2012

I was in Avril 2012 in this earthly paradise, a place where I really relaxed and where I enjoyed the nature and silence, a well-kept garden, full of flowers, with a swimming pool, Mathieu Bruno & the owners were very discreet but at the same time very helpfulif, the rooms very large and always fragrant, mine had a large terrace overlooking pool and garden if you really want to relax and discover a magical place I recommend Villa Bastide

Where can we start on Villa Bastide? It really is a little slice of heaven. The rooms are if anything under played on their website, they are large (we were in the blue suite) very well appointed, spotlessly clean, comfortable and so characterful. Bruno and Mathieu are fantastic hosts full of advise when required but also careful to leave you to your privacy. Breakfast was very tasty and fresh, the garden a little oasis and the pool the perfect place to relax after a hot day of sightseeing. Value wise a stay in Villa Bastide is very reasonable.
The area is quiet but has loads to do within 5 - 10 minutes drive. We went on this holiday stressed and over wound we returned fresh and ready to take on the world.
If this sounds too good to be true it very nearly was, home now it seems like a dream.

We stayed there in March, only for a short visit, but would definitely go back : Beautiful house, very quiet place, welcoming guests...
The room was large and comfortable, with a lot of privacy, which was vey appreciated as we were travelling with children. The garden and little private terraces were really peaceful and relaxing.
Too early in the season to enjoy the swimming pool, unfortunately! must be great for summer.

This restored former farm house is situated in a lovely quite village between Nimes & Arles - and ideal for exploring both (and the beautiful scenery around).

Villa Bastide is exceptionally good value for money with a lovely garden & pool, guest lounges and large bedrooms suites (with separate lounge and ensuite bath/shower rooms).

The house is furnished with antiques & period furniture and extremely comfortable and welcoming, as are the owners who are on hand to offer advice on sightseeing, restaurants, etc.

Highly recommended when your travels bring you to this wonderful part of France.
