Preparing food, especially seafood, takes a certain amount of care and skill...to select what is fresh and of good quality, to exploit its flavor without overwhelming.
Some restaurants seem to have lost their love for what they do. Not the case here. The service was congenial and informative, the atmosphere was relaxing and spotlessly clean...with a lovely location on the water.
Best of all, the food was delicious. One of us opted for a rich creamy chicken and mushroom risotto after being put off fish the night before at another restaurant. The other had the seafood with pasta, and both dishes were lovely. The seafood in particular delighted with the delicate, skilled use of fresh herbs, produce, and seasoning with respect. There is great fish in Senglea! We would very happily return....and plan to.
