Excellent food. Love to support this restaurant the only down side is that it is not open every day as it should be
Well done to all and well worth a visit

“Still a Star”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

It's a while since we last visited, and it's as good as ever. Still the same being greeted like a long time friend, the same friendly faces (although Jane has recently recovered from a serious illness and Tony was not on duty the evening we visited).
The food was as good as ever, the rack of lamb was a bit redder than I would have chosen, but believing that here "Chef knows best" I tried it and was instantly converted to medium-rare meat.
Impeccable, professional, but friendly service, superb food and modest prices. What else can you ask for.

“Small restaurant serves food lovingly created and with flair”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

This restaurant is surprising and charming - tucked away in a row of fairly ugly buildings with it is like entering a small hub of excellence. A warm welcome. Service of the highest quality and a small menu of delicious seasonal food which is beautifully cooked and served with fairly priced good wine.

What more could a diner wish for?

Visit this delightful place if you possibly can - good things rarely last for long.

“Foodies dream”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

The food in this small restaurant is amazing thanks to the selection of the best quality ingredients and fantastic cooking. Astonishingly good value - would pay much more for much less in an average restaurant.
I had the feeling that this is a venture by food loving gourmet chefs who wish to share the experience of fine dining with others rather than a commercial venture.

“Romantic meal”
Reviewed 7 May 2014 via mobile

My wife and I visited the Apron Stage on Saturday night and were delighted as always at the service, food, wine and value for money. This type of food and attention would be twice the price at lesser restuarants.Delicious and can't wait to go back.
