The cottage has a balcony to take in the beautiful view, including sunset. There is also a large window high up, that allows you to see the view from the bed on the loft, great if you feel lazy in the morning. I found the staff extremely friendly and the food and the service were fantastic. Great place!

I stayed at the Polish Place Chalets in July 2010, and it was just lovely. The owners are willing to cater to anything you need; we couldn't figure out how to get the fireplace to work and they came in and helped. I got the Lover's Package with late checkout and $100 worth of food delivered straight to your room...the food was AMAZING!! Polish duck- Delicious!!! I still dream about it haha. The apple pancakes for dessert were also extremely delicious, as was the entree (though I can't remember what it was called). The fact that each course is individually delivered to your room makes it all the more cosy, and the host seemed to know the timing just right! The layout of the cottages is great, you get such an amazing view! It was raining while we were there, which was a shame, but we still got rosellas coming to our balcony in the morning. There is also a cosy spa under the stairs. The only thing I could say is that perhaps the rooms are a little outdated. But it all adds to the charm! Would love to go back (even if it was just for the duck!!), such a great place if you want a cosy holiday.

I had heard about this "Polish Place" on Tamborine Mountain from a friend years ago and it wasn't until we visited the Gold Coast that we decided to visit and see what the fuss was all about. Oh my, it took our breath away! We stayed for lunch at the restaurant which was absolutely delicious - I had never tried Polish food before, but it was simply hearty, satisfying and beautiful. We had the roast Duck with a shot of vodka. Just delicious. I also didn't know that the duck recipe was featured in one of the big Gold Coast magazines - what an honour for the owners.

We decided to cut short our holiday on the Gold Coast by one night and stay at the Polish Place cottages (because we loved the food and the cottages looked simply divine), and we were not disappointed one bit. We woke up to fresh air, birds singing on our balcony and we didn't realise it was 9am (much later than our usual 6am wakeups!), but we didn't have to panic because the owners told us we didn't have to check out until midday! BONUS!! And yes, we had to have one more spa before we left...

Wish we had visited earlier in our Gold Coast holiday - we would have certainly stayed longer and eaten a lot more Polish food! I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and anyone who just wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast. What more could you ask for - fantastic locations, great views, DELICIOUS food, and friendly owners - certainly was the highlight our of annual holiday.

After a delicious lunch a few weeks ago, we returned to stay at the Polish Place's cottages. Our impressions to the end were that the owners really wanted to create a getaway - pure and simple. No gimmicks, no phones, no communication with the outside world. The owners provided us with a basket full of breakfast foods (a surprise to us) that you make at your leisure. With a late check-out it was perfect. We made breakfast at 11am - no need to rush anywhere to make sure the usual hotel breakfast hours don't end. It worked for us!

The cottages remind you of something you might find in ski-fields resort. All timber interior and wide, large windows. Spectacular views from them. Bonus for us was being able to try the polish food again, this time in the evening where the atmosphere in the restaurant was candle-lit and quite romantic.

Amidst the wet, wet holiday weather we decided to get away to the lovely mountain retreat. The Polish Place Chalets is where we had spent a couple of days upon a recommendation of a friend. What a charming place! Magnificent views and on a less rainy day the sunset from our balcony was spectacular. Totally relaxing setting - bonus because the owner's maintain a preference for couples who leave kids with grandparents, which is what we did AND thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend it for a sneaky getaway! It was so peaceful!
