“Fantastic family-friendly farm”
Reviewed 5 July 2018 for a stay in June 2018

The farm is in a lovely location so everywhere you look is picture perfect. The buildings are all old fashioned and quaint. The pool was our favorite! We practically spent 2 whole days in the pool and then BBQ’d our dinner with a kit bought from the reception desk. We didn’t rent a car and the hosts were very helpful with the bus. The bus was confusing the first time to the farm because the driver wouldn’t stop for us. But every other time we used the bus it was easy and convenient. The tour of their winery was interesting and the spread with the wine tasting was well worth it! We would stay here again anytime of year.

“Excellent”

I would highly recommend this place for a very relaxing holidays. Swimming pool is gorgeous, a bit cold though for this time a year. We are staying in the 2 bedroom apartment which is so beautiful and has everything you need for a self catering accommodation. I will definitely come back again.

“Simply put... AMAZING!!!”

This review will not do its justice to how AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL and STUNNING being at La Presura was. There is much to say so I'll break my review down into categories. First LOCATION... The location is absolutely PERFECT! About 30 min from Florence and yet you do not feel like your near a city. It was so convenient to be so close to Florence for visiting the museums, leather markets or simply just enjoying the city. But being in the country is what made our stay just fascinating. Countless vineyards for wine tasting. SECOND The VILLA... The villa we stayed in was GORGEOUS! My wife and I had been planning our trip to Italy for over a year. One of the first things we set on doing was finding a villa in Tuscany that brought us back to the old world, to give us the FEEL of living in the Italian countryside. Boy o Boy did La Presura do just that. The Villa was super super super clean and comfortable. THIRD The PEOPLE at La Presura... Carlota was so accommodating to us. Not only from our stay, but also the countless information they provided. From where to eat, best vineyards and in general vital information for our stay. We stayed in Italy for 3 weeks and the fact that they not only washed but also folded our clothes was FANTASTIC! I guess if you've read all of this, you can tell that WE LOVED staying at La Presura. If you have a doubt of staying here, I hope I've helped remove that doubt and had you jump right into a YES. Final comment, while doing a tasting we mentioned to some people we met about where we were staying and how great it was. They were JEALOUS!

“Stay on a Chianti Vinyard in Tuscany with great views and a pool.”

My wife and 22 year old sons and niece stayed on this prperty. We loved this property. .The area and the property are beautiful.. We were given two units that combined together so we had two kitchens ,two bathrooms and we're able to comfortablly sleep 5 adults.

We had a private patio that overlooked the pool and the farm as well as the surrounding countryside. The patio had a large table that could seat 6 people. The patio also had a a couple of comfortable lounge chairs.

We were invited to attend a wine tasting being held that night on the property for 10 Euro per person. We did attend and very much enjoyed the wines and lemoncello.

The farm is well positioned for day trips to Florence, Siena, and other Tuscan towns. You will need a rental car to enjoy the area. We rented a car in Florence near the train station from Avis. Several other less well known car rental companies also had locations near the Florence train station, The farm is about 9 km from Florence. I recommend a GPS or cell phone for navigation.

The area aound the farm offers a few good resturants and a supermarket. We actually enjoyed our meals at the local resturants better then the food we had in Florence or Rome earlier in our trip.

The area is rural but we found all of the services we needed.

The rooms were clean and comfortable with a rustic look and feel. The staff of the farm, particularly the lady who ran the wine tasting and checked us in were very friendly and helpful. English is spoken by members of the staff. The farm has about 10 units in total. This place is highly recommended. The WiFi worked poorly.

Property name , La Presura, is almost impossible to see from a moving vehicle and is right on a curve in the road so tricky finding entrance first time. Our first 4 nights in a two bedroom apartment were perfect then we had to move to a one room which was still lovely but not as well equipped although looking right onto the pool area so that was compensation. The views from the property are unbelievably beautiful and added extra of winery tour and tasting is great fun.

“Kind, helpful and a beautiful setting; great wines!”
Reviewed 23 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed at La Presura for 10 days in June 2015 and had a great experience. Bianca Maria and Federico were very helpful, kind and always informative. The facilities were well maintained, clean and to a good standard. I think the true sign of how good they are were the other guests who had visited other locations around Italy proclaiming that they wished they were staying longer there.

The apartment(s)
We stayed with two young children (aged 3 and 8 months) and were provided with two apartments with an open adjoining door. This was actually very useful as we could put the two kids in the second apartment to play, sleep etc and cook, have a glass of wine on the balcony etc without disturbing each other. It also meant that we had two bathrooms and two kitchens which gave us more flexibility and space when it came to trying to get out of the apartment or dinner time. All the facilities were clean, cooking utencils and pans etc were modern and looked almost new. Towels were provided both for bathrooms and a separate set for the pool which was very useful. We had requested a cot and high chair in advance and were provided with these in good/new condition as well as a bouncer and audio baby monitors; very thoughtful and useful. Each apartment had its own aircon and a fan above the bed so we were able to keep the kids cool at night and provide a sanctuary for our 8 month old girl during the heat of the day. There was a safe in each room although we didn't feel we needed to use it because everyone was so honest and kind. We were also provided with 'Vape' mosquito repellents to plug in. The doors also had nets so that you could leave the door open for fresh air but prevent mosquitos getting in.

Children
Everyone at La Presura (and indeed in Italy in general) loved the kids being around. They were friendly, engaged in "3 year old conversation" and were considerate with regards to our needs. We felt completely relaxed and there were other families there too. That being said, the pool area is secluded from the apartments so any noise made there did not disturb people relaxing elsewhere and the same is true for the play area. The play area has swings and slides and both our children enjoyed playing there. Everywhere felt safe and was well away from the main road. The apartments are distributed around the site and some are more secluded than others. All in all, we didn't feel like we were either disturbed by other children or that we were disturbing others. The pool is clean, safe and has plenty of chairs/loungers; our little three year old got very proficient at jumping in and swimming to the other end!

Wine and tour
The wine was lovely and we mainly opted to drink from the La Presura "cellar" than from other shops. The tour was good fun and informative and I'd recommend trying the Lemoncello!

Problem Resolution
We had a couple of problems that Bianca Marie and Federico were very helpful in resolving. We suffered a flat tyre on day one and they helped with conversing in Italian over the phone and took/relayed messages until we got things sorted. One of our fridges was faulty and this was replaced quickly with a new one, with little impact to us.

Local Restaurants
We loved the food in Florence/Chianti. We found that even the chain supermarket (Coop) had great fresh food for us to cook back at the apartment. We went to two local restaurants (La Martellina in Greve and San Martino in Impruneta). Both were great. The former served great pasta and meatballs, the latter provided lovely fish with huge portions of pasta. the only problem is that the main road (SR222) isn't really walkable in the evening because it has no path. We didn't feel comfortable walking with kids so we had to have a nominated driver and then enjoy some of the La Presura Chianti when we got back. Not the end of the world and those without children would find a taxi very easy to deal with rather than needing to walk the 30 minutes.

Car
You need a car really and most guests had one. Do take note of the GPS location on the La Presura website (http://www.lapresura.it/en/farm-holiday-chianti/) as this was accurate to within a few hundred meters. You can catch a bus into Florence from the main road that I was told was prompt but we didn't use it. We always drove and used the same multi-story car park in Florence which was safe but not always in the right place. We drove to Siena and thought this was lovely. We also enjoyed a picnic and wander around a farm (http://fattoriadimaiano.com/en/activities/#the-teaching-farm) with the kids although it was steep and difficult with buggies!

In summary, we had a lovely holiday at La Presura and would recommend it for either a short or a long stay. We have ordered some wine for delivery to the UK because it's good value for its quality. If you're thinking of staying in the area then this is a great place to relax, enjoy and take in beautiful views of olive trees and mountains.
