“Colorful topology”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

Many colorful badlands and easy to access through the loop road. It still make me feel amazing although I have seen similar topology in other parks in the southwest and even in Washington state. Really like the colorful layers and feel the nature is fantastic.

“Supremely Scenic”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

A very beautiful vehicle tour of the Badlands National Park. There were several places to stop near the most scenic spots. We even had a picnic and one of the stops. Highly recommend.

But do be careful the roads wind every which way. If you are pulling a camper or have a pusher. Do watch yourselves!!!!

“LOOP ROAD - LIKE BEING ON THE MOON!! INCREDIBLE!!”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

If you get to South Dakota and I suggest you do, the Badlands is the coolest place to go! You drive and all you see are grasslands. You enter the park and again all you see are fields of grass.
Then all of a sudden BAM!!!! It's like you landed on the moon! The most incredible rock formations you will see anywhere! The canyons, the cliffs, the wildlife (yes there are rattle snakes) and all the trails and photo stops. Do NOT rush through here. We spent about 5 hours, drive the whole road, enjoy the prairie dogs and take a load of photos! Bring a camera with a nice telephoto lens. You will be surprised how big this park is! Just do some research online and you will be blown away!

“Nice roads and views”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

My brother and I drove the Loop Road both ways to and from our way through South Dakota. It seemed like the road had been recently paved and was really nice. The different overlooks were nicely accessible.
