Death Valley, conjures all sorts of images for the OS guest. Sure it's a hot environment but this accommodation is comfortable. Having recently travelled to Central Australia and experiencing similar isolated hot environments this is comparable if not better. The room is large enough to hold two double beds with bar fridge. Good sized bathroom with nice hot shower.
The hotel has a good sized swimming pool, restaurant and bar. Across the road the general store has the basic food and drink items, including beer and wine. The restaurant, is served by some lovely staff and the meals are OK given the location.
The biggest plus for us was we only had to walk out the door at the end of the day, sit on a pre set bench, and look out over the sand dunes at the mountains and experience a lovely sunset. Lots of great photos.More
