I chose this campsite as it was pretty central, at least for the eastern end of Death Valley. Also because it was slightly up in the hills and looked much more interesting than the flat desert parking lots! I arrived late morning and was lucky enough to have my pick of sites & found a lovely one where I could pitch my tent right beneath a large tree. The night was warm (in the 80s) but the campsite was quiet. Facilities were adequate and clean.
